"I don't know what the fuck to do." I angrily expressed to Harmony.

What Jd was asking me to do was so messed up and I'm not trifling like that— but at the same time, my mom means everything to me & I can't let nothing happen to her.

"Maybe yall should just leave."

"Leave where?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Leave North Carolina. You always wanted to go to Atlanta...If that's what you gotta do to be safe, do it."

"Harmony I'm not running! Plus he knows people in Atlanta, it wouldn't be hard for him to find me."

"I don't think he would take it that far."

"And why won't he? When he wants something, he go to any extreme to get it done."

"Okay but regardless of what you do, one of them gone hurt you either way. You think Milo wouldn't hesitate to kill you when he find out what you did?"

"But how would he find out?"

"I can guarantee you that Jd gone rub it in his face that you set him up."

I sighed and just processed everything in my head... It was a lose lose situation either way.

But I'd rather the loss be me.

"Hi." Jilly dryly spoke as we sat across from eachother at a restaurant that she suggested we meet at.

"Wassup." I nodded at her. This whole interaction felt weird and it just started. She went from saying she ain't wanna ever speak to me again to texting my phone saying she "miss" me.

"We gone talk or?" I cleared my throat breaking the awkward yet loud silence.

"Um...How are you?"

"I'm straight. You?" I slouched down in the seat.

"Same."

"You don't seem like it." I told her.

"What you mean?"

"You just seem off. What's good with you? You ain't speaking or nothing."

She looked away from me for a few seconds before she responded, "I don't really know what to say."

"Well why you wanted to see me?"

"You know why..."

"Break it down to me." I shrugged.

"I don't think we should throw away we had going on— I'm over all the shit that happened in the past. I feel like we should try to work things out because you actually meant a lot to me and you claimed I meant something to you too.."

I stared at her with a straight face.

"But it's cool if you not feeling the same way." She added when she seen I wasn't saying anything.

I missed her too honestly; not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about her.

But I just felt like I couldn't trust her the same anymore, no matter how many times she said swears she didn't set me up... I just don't know fr.

I mean after all, Jd was her first love so most females gone ride for them regardless— that's one reason I feel like she isn't trust worthy.

Guess we both got some trust to build though.

"Just let me kn—

"The feeling is mutual." I cut her off.

"Oh."

"Oh?" I raised my eyebrow.

I was really ready to just get up and leave cause she was moving too weird for me.

"I mean..So what now?"

"You tell me."

She sucked her teeth, "You really not giving me much to work with. You say the feeling mutual but you not acting like it. I did the hard part which was getting us both here and admitting how we felt, you can at least figure out where we should go from here."

"We gotta work to get back where we were, Jilly. You want me to just start acting like shit all good? Like we best friends or some shit? I can't. That's gone take time— we really just need to start over."

"That's cool. Let's do that then."

"Alright but first... I need you to promise me something. I honestly don't trust you but I'll work on that. Just tell me the truth when I say this to you."

"Okay." She sighed, "Say it."

"You not messing with Jd and planning some shit against me as get back?"

I could tell by the look on her face she was taken back by the question which already gave me a bad feeling.

"Why would you ask me that?"

"Cause I wanna make sure. We starting over right? I wanna get all this shit off my chest now. Give me a honest answer Jisele."

"I would never do nothing like that to you. I haven't communicated with him in like forever and I plan to keep it that way."

She kept eye contact with me the whole time she was talking which she never does when she lies and though I really didn't want to— I believed her.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"The truth."

She gave me a small smile before looking down and playing around with her bracelet.

"Can you promise me something too?" She looked back up at me.

"Fasho."

"You will never lie to me again no matter how bad it is or what you think my reaction will be— just tell me the truth."

I nodded my head, "I promise you that..."
