The universe was such a vast place.

So many planets, stars, galaxies, and more to explore. So much to be seen and experienced, yet so little time to do it all. It was a dream to so many to get to see it all.

And yet here he was, under the waters of the ocean filled planet. Blue eyes bore through the glass of the tube he made his way through, searching for even a single interesting thing to make a note about. Most he could see were the peepers and the rare, pathetic garryfish. Honestly, he could find himself bored of this job at times.

Tommy had tried so hard, worked through so much to come here. But, it wasn't for his own interests. No, he simply followed the steps of his older brother. After all, Wilbur had so much, it was only natural as a younger sibling to look up and follow after them.

No matter, the blonde had work he needed to be done. His sneakers, which were against dress-code but he couldn't give a shit, tapped against the tiled floors of the tube. Pale hands made their way into his pants pockets, eyes moving away from the oceans and instead ahead of him.

It took a few minutes, but the young blonde made his way to a rather large room, one he never found himself liking. But, he went in anyway, the white metal door slamming shut behind him. It was then that his eyes locked onto another pair, one he had come to be familiar with.

It was Fundy. He was another young person to be involved with the corporation, though was newer than Tommy was by a few months. Unlike Tommy, Fundy had specialized in the ACH department, having the lovely Niki be his teacher. Honestly, Tommy couldn't help but be jealous at times from it. After all, Niki was actually around and helping her student, Wilbur usually wasn't. Especially so after the GL situation that had occurred a few months back.

"Tommy, good to see you made it! Come, we were just finishing up with getting things ready for E01 and E05!" Called the German woman, eyes lighting up with excitement.

Ah yes, E01 and E05, the Emperor Leviathan duo. Tommy had heard of them, the two being an extremely hot topic within the crew. After all, they were the ones to have produced a cure for the bacterium. It also didn't help that they were just special in general. I mean, giant leviathans that can live to be over 1000 years old and can turn other creatures docile, they couldn't be thought of as normal leviathans!

"Are you meeting up with them, or is this them coming here?" Tommy asks, his eyebrow raising ever so slightly.

"They are coming here. E01 said E05 wanted to visit around here anyways, so it made it easier for them." Niki explains from behind her desk, hand reaching back and pulling on a lever on the wall behind her. That lever was exactly why he disliked this room.

The empty center of the room shifted, the floors that once were pressed tightly together opening up to the waters below. The blonde didn't like the lack of safety. Too many times he had been jumped by the creatures outside, too many times he has had to escape... He could still remember the white, boney face of the leviathan. The black markings near it's mouth that made it seem like it was smiling.

Tommy quickly shook his head, eyes averting from the open place back to where Niki was. Fundy was close by, his hands slightly shaking from nerves as he kept shuffling the same pile of paper to make it perfectly align.

Moments later, Wilbur had made his way into the room. He hadn't said much, his focus being rather obviously on the guests that were to come. It was no surprise, there had been word that Wilbur had some odd obsession with the Emperors. He wouldn't dare miss a chance to see them. Not since he first caught sight, nor since the situation in the dead zone.

Within 10 minutes of the floor being opened, two heads popped up from the water. Both looked so human, but certain features made it obvious that they weren't. Niki could easily recognize the two.

"E01, E05! Please, come in and relax! Thank you both for coming here today!" Niki greets, her movements rushed as she comes out from behind her cluttered desk and over to the water. Both people turned to face her, matching eyes staring.

"Please, Ms. Niki, we would prefer to be called by our names. Though, I understand you keep calling us that for legal reasons, it still doesn't sit well with us." The older one spoke, their voice a smooth monotone.

"Ah, of course. Sorry, I am just used to using the assigned names for the paperwork." She apologizes, bowing her head slightly.

In all honesty, this had been Tommy's first time seeing them. The closest he had gotten to seeing them were pictures, and even those weren't accurate as to what was before him. Instead of the giant creatures he was shown and told about, the two in the water were much more humanoid. Something about the Architects helping them with that, from what he heard from rumors. The blonde couldn't help but space out as he looked over the two.

The older of the two, whom wished to be called Eret, was a good looking person by most people's standards. Wavy, brunette hair that reached their broad shoulders, a good jawline that matched it. Though, there were some oddities to the looks. The way their eyes were glowing purely white, no pupil or iris to be seen. The two striped antenna that met at the center top of their forehead before hanging down in two opposite directions, tipped with a golden glowing bit. That's not even mentioning the large horn-like structures coming from the sides of their head.

Then there was the younger one, whom Eret said goes by [Name]. They held similarities in looks, though just in the inhuman department. Without those, they looked like their own person, not like the twins the two seemingly claimed to be. What was odd though, was the lack of speech.

"Why doesn't [Name] speak for themselves?" Tommy asks, his eyes locked onto the younger leviathan. He could feel a glare stabbing into his back, one he knew was coming from one of his coworkers, but he didn't care at this point.

"Ah, [Name] is still learning to speak in this form. They just aren't confident enough yet to speak up." Eret answers, their gaze seemingly shifting to their younger sibling, whom nodded in agreement. Though, the topic was quick to change off of it, Eret answering questions from Niki and Wilbur while [Name] seemingly chimed in via telling their sibling something.

After an hour, there was a noticeable difference in the room. Niki and Fundy were excitedly looking through their notes together, commenting on how the information could help with the ACH department. Wilbur, on the other hand, seemed to be keeping his eyes on the younger leviathan. Tommy couldn't help but wonder why. Why was he so interested in them?

But no matter, his attention snapped away from his brother as a yawn came from the open waters. It came from [Name], their eyes half lidded as they covered their mouth.

"It seems we should make our leave, [Name] and I have some things we need to do." Eret speaks up, causing their younger sibling to perk up along with the others. The two siblings were quick to wave before making haste in leaving, the younger of the two going faster...

And something else going with them. Something that had been hiding under the room, out of sight of the human researchers aboard. Tommy and Wilbur could see the way it glanced up at them as it passed by, following the trail of the two emperors. Too fast to see a full appearance, but slow enough where those glowing eyes could lock onto the research duo...

Tommy could have sworn he recognized the green eyes on that third creature.
