ARABELLA

"Svegliati tesoro"
(Wake up darling)

I try to block my ears with my pillow but they just get pulled away from me. I shuffle around on the couch before I finally rub my eyes and see my mother towering over me.

"What time is it mama?" I asked faintly. My mouth felt dry, I was yearning for ice cold water. Mmm, I love cold water, I almost felt myself drooling before my mom pulled me out of my thoughts. "It's around 7" she answers while blankly staring at her watch. My eyes widen, I've been asleep for more than 4 hours?

Mom notices the discomfort on my face and tells me to go downstairs and eat something as I haven't eaten in hours now. She was right and I still needed some water, so I headed downstairs and put myself some of the dinner my mom had made. Roast chicken, oven baked potatoes and rice, I felt my mouth watering, I was longing to take a bite and so I did. A quiet moan of satisfaction left my mouth and I found myself feeling pleased.

After eating half of what was on my plate, I was full so I washed my dishes then made my way upstairs. I did my night routine which involves brushing my teeth, washing my face, moisturising and brushing my hair. I didn't bother to change out of my fluffy pyjamas as there wasn't any point so I just hopped in bed and played a random romcom movie to help ease my mind to sleep.

My eyes felt heavy and I could feel them slowly shutting. I closed my laptop and shifted into a ball-like position which probably wasn't good for my back posture but it was comfortable. Then I slowly dozed off into a peaceful sleep.

-Next morning-

I heard an agitating ring in my ear which made me jolt up from my peaceful sleep. Stupid alarm. I turned it off and slowly got out of bed.

I slipped on some light pink fluffy slides and took off to my bathroom. I did my morning business then I turned on the shower, I undressed myself while I waited for the water to get warm. The shower turned steamy so I knew to hop in. This time I decided to use a strawberry sundae scented shampoo and body wash. I was overwhelmed by the sweet fragrance filling my airways, I nearly forgot how to shower. I quickly snapped out my trance and began washing my body.

I washed every bit and crevice of my body, making sure I smelt incredible. After, I wrapped my body in a white fluffy towel and while I waited for myself to dry up I did some makeup, as always some mascara and my favourite pinky lip gloss, they made my plump lips look pretty. I decided it was time to pick out an outfit, I walked to my closet and chose to wear a mini floral skirt paired with a simple top. I also picked out some pretty undergarments! Which I had bought with Ivy, well she insisted I bought them.
