"does anyone know anything about who the new agent may be?" Aurora said as she sat at her desk with her coffee mug, taking a long glance at Aaron's office. It had been a week since Gideon left and there was still no mention of Gideon's replacement. Aaron was stressed to high heavens but luckily for him, Aurora knew a great mechanism to keep his stress levels down.

"Not really" Derek said with a soft sigh "man it's going to be hard for them to fill Gideon's shoes, we are so lucky we aren't them"

just then spencer came in wearing a Frankenstein mask and frightened Derek "Happy all Hollow's eve folks!" Emily and Aurora burst into a fit of giggles as Derek sighed, annoyed at his extremely nerdy friend

"see this is why I hate Halloween" Derek said with a slight huff "people wearing stupid masks, sneaking up on you, being anyone. It's so stupid."

"that's what's so good about Halloween! Anyone can be whoever they want!" spencer started as the girls began smirking at Derek "statistically speaking, people become much more confident around Halloween. You just don't follow the trend!"

"alright kid I get it" Derek said with a smile "but I guess I can't call you kid anyone because you're not the youngest anymore. Aurora is our darling baby 25 year old"

"oh har har" she said, softly taking a sip from her coffee mug "oh look guys!" Aaron's office door opened and revealed an older-looking man with salt and pepper hair and a beard

"David Rossi, this is the team" Aaron said gesturing to the team as the two walked down the stairs to the bullpen

"I'm Derek Morgan sir" he said extending his Hand for Dave to shake "it's a pleasure to meet you"

"Agent Emily Prentiss, sir" Emily said, now stood next to Derek and opposite Dave "welcome back to the team."

"it's good to be back Prentiss" Rossi said before the rest of the team introduced themselves in a very similar matter leaving Aurora as the only one who had not been introduced

"we have one last member" Aaron said motioning to Aurora who was stood to the back of the group "This is agent Aurora Angelle, our expert in undercover work"

"Maria" Dave let out an exasperated sigh "Doctor Aurora- Althea Love-Marie Angelle, I'm surprised you weren't the first to say hello"

"well I thought I would save the best for last" Aurora said moving to kiss his cheek "how have you been uncle Dave?"

"I'm good Maria, you're the spitting image of your mother" he said as he clutched her face softly "she would be proud of how far you've came and all on your own with no extra help"

"how do you know I got no help?" Aurora said with a soft smile dancing on her features "I could have payed my way into the Bureau, god knows that is probably what you've done"

"but Aaron Hotchner is known to be a very stern man" Dave said as he rounded her desk and sat at an office chair near hers "Aaron would not allow a woman who doesn't belong on the team especially not without sufficient evidence and persuasion"

Aurora made a closed mouthed amused humming noise before locking her eyes with Aaron's. He was stood just admiring the two conversing with a barely visible smile on his face "you have no idea how good my persuasion skills are David Rossi"

thankfully JJ rushed through the bullpen with a dull look on her face and announced to the team that they had a case so they all followed her to the round table room where she began to explain the case

"todays case is in Bridgewater, Florida. Nineteen year old Abby Kealton was found with the lower part of her body eaten by alligators" JJ explained quickly
