The stadium was a sea of red and green, pumping adrenaline from its depths. A separate domain from the outside world, with its own rules and chorus. The band kept the energy alive, raising anticipation. The cheerleaders stretched and prepared on the track which would be your first stop before meeting Hitch.

With a bouquet of sunflowers in hand, her favorite, you hollered her name. The blond poked her head up from her stretch and settled her gaze on you until she adorned a beaming grin. She gave you a hug that nearly knocked you from your feet.

The wind whipped at the two of you and your hair blew together into a mixture of opposing colors. She pulled away. "I'm so happy you're here you have no idea! I'm kinda nervous and stressed and I feel like I'm gonna puke."

"You're gonna do great, but please don't puke on me."

Historia made a fake wrenching noise and the two of you giggled.

"You guys look so pretty by the way oh my god," you said. Her hair was tied up in a gold bow, completed by her green cheer uniform.

She gave you a 360 spin and curtsied. "Aww thanks, you too!" You could barely hear each other over the crowd and band but your proximity lent an aid. You handed her the gift.

"I love these! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She jumped, wrapping her arms around you again. You relaxed into her embrace and smiled softly.

She grabbed at the sweatshirt tied around your waist. "Is that?"

You lifted a sleeve in your hand. "He left it on my bed at the banquet. I'm gonna give it back after the game."

Historia rolled her eyes with a smirk. "Of course he did. He's such an idiot."

Louise walked over to the two of you.

"Y/n..." She said, voice low. You could only decipher your name from reading her lips. You and Historia turned to face the nervous girl.

"Eh? You guys should be stretching," Historia grumbled, hands on her hips. You slightly put your hand up for Historia to relax and stepped forward.

"What is it?" You asked the girl. She squeezed her eyes shut and lunged her arms around you. You froze and slowly patted her back. Historia hiked up a brow and you shrugged.

"Thanks for the good luck the other day. Haha, I'm really nervous," she said quietly, and pulled away.

You gave her a warm smile. "You're welcome," you slightly elbowed Historia. "Your captain's gonna take it easy on you guys since it's the first game."

Historia deflated. "Yeah yeah. Just finish your warmups."

Louise promptly nodded and headed back towards the team. Historia crossed her arms. "You were always the nice one."

"She's anxious, it's her first game, cut her some slack."

Historia sniffed the flowers. "If you say so, but if they fuck up and drop someone I'm blaming you," she said with a laugh. "You can cover their medial bills."
