You waited for the lens to focus, and snapped a photo. Is my handwriting okay? You took one more and hit send before packing up your notebook.

The conversation had become a chain of consecutive photographs. Each picture—a page of tidy cursive, inscribing the lecture. You'd been sending Eren your notes for the past week since your lunch with Armin. Still radio silence, you relayed a lie to Hitch that Armin hadn't yielded any information. The two of you sat in Rose Cafe—at the same table you'd chatted with Armin.

"He really gave you nothing huh?" she said, pouring a pouch of sugar into her tea.

You gazed out the window at the busy street. It looked like it would rain later. "Nothing, unfortunately."

"So odd. For god's sake they act like they're hiding a body."

"Let's hope not."

"Knock on wood," she chuckled, knuckling the table. "Are you going to the party?"

You stirred your coffee. "I've been thinking about it."

"It's gonna be at Back Bay. You might meet some guys," she said, embellishing the offer, "well, both of us. I think we need it."

"I don't know, guys bring trouble."

"Nothing permanent, just some good fun," she shrugged.

You leaned into your palm. "True," you sighed, "that does sound pretty sweet right now."

"When's the last time you..." she gestured her head, "ya know..."

"About a year, I dated some guy last winter. Probably just to have someone on Valentine's. You?"

"A couple months ago, summer time," she took a sip, "how come so long? You celibate?"

You shook your head, "I just haven't thought about it much."

"Again, babe, your twitter likes say otherwise."

You started to laugh. "I know, but like, no one's made me..."

"Horny?" she blurted, loud and clear. An older woman from the table beside you flashed a side eye.

"Oh jeez Hitch–"

"Am I right?"

You looked at her tiredly and she smirked. "I'm right..."

You crossed your legs. "It's not like... Of course I've found certain guys attractive but I don't feel..." Hitch raised her brows and waited for an explanation on whatever you were getting at.

"I don't feel it, but I do..." you lowered your voice, "want it."

She blinked twice. "I don't follow..?"

You cleared your throat rather awkwardly, "Meds.."

"Oh..." she tilted her head quizzically, "does it like... fuck with your libido?"
