Hi I am I Hailey 18 years old and living my Best life completing my bucket list you see when I was a child my mom died she had cancer which out of all her 7 kids went to me so i was treated like a fragile glass like I would break any moment which irritated me the only person who treated me normally was my friend ameline we had been bff's since kindergarten we were attached by the hip she stood up for me when I couldn't honestly she was my rock we had everything in common we liked to call our selves platonic soulmates we watched tvd together almost everynight talking about Hayley I loved the girl but hated at the same time firstly we talked about why she was a horrible person
Hayley was a horrible person going to that starting point she was ungrateful to everyone who helped her, she forgets that she's not more powerful than the Mikealsons, she spent months befriending the hybrids, promising them that they could be free, and she sent them all to their deaths for a flashdrive about dead people (which in turns makes her statement to Elijah about living for the living sheer hypocrisy). And it's never brought up again, the writers just chose to ignore it, which in turn makes Hayley out be a psychopath and she though nik was bad but let's continue, she was perfectly okay with murdering Rebekah
during the Eva situation, and when the Originals specified that Eva not be killed until Rebekah was separated from her, Hayley looked pissed. She was angry that she didn't get to kill Eva, even though Rebekah, who was one of the only people to actually care for Hayley as a person from the beginning, would die too. She did not give a damn. She calls the werewolves her family, yet abandons them at a moment's notice. Throughout the entirety of season 1, she effectively used Hope as a human shield, as she went around threatening people, and the only reason none of them reacted was because she was pregnant with Niklaus' kid.Going back to the hybrids, when Tyler showed up, she called him a 'backstabbing hybrid piece of shit' despite the fact that she was the one who betrayed him. She set his entire pack up to die and only decided to spare him because she thought he was hot. She then preceded to completely villify him when next they met, despite her being the one to set up the mass murder of his friends, whom she also claimed to care about (on a side note, I hope the werewolves she goes to meet kick her ass, knowing what an ungrateful bitch she is).
There's a rather telling statement that she makes in season 1, when Elijah is questioning whether he should have assumed the worst in Niklaus. She says everyone has a list of problems, but most people die before it gets big enough to be embarassing. That's pretty much her view on morality in a nutshell, because as I said, she is a complete psychopath. The only difference between her and Niklaus is that he's lived longer. In fact, I daresay he's less homicidal than her. She has repeatedly gone for the kill at first thought, even when lesser action would have been preferable. She's also perfectly happy using Hope to manipulate people, despite her getting extremely angry when someone tries to do the same to her.
She's also somehow convinced that she's constantly in the right. As noted before, she doesn't understand that she did anything wrong to Tyler. She demonized Niklaus for what Dahlia did to her, despite the fact that Niklaus' plan was the only thing stopping Dahlia from murdering Hayley to death.  She then precedes to use the 'custody battle' line (which still makes me grate my teeth) and acts like she is actually a good mother, despite the fact that her violent lifestyle, combined with the fact that she's entirely dependent on the Mikaelsons, could arguably make her a worse parent than Niklaus, and certainly not a good one in general. She attacks and nearly murders Freya, acting like she's saving Jackson, when the sole reason they were keeping Jackson chained was because they didn't know what was stopping the Crescent curse, which she knew, considering she knows Davina wanted the whole thing secret. And on that note, she then acts like Davina forced her to kill all of those witches, when in reality Davina only said to kill one, Kara, and Hayley had no problem whatsoever doing it. The deaths of the others were simply because Hayley decided the best tactic would be to walk up to her in a public square and murder her.
She has a parasitic lifestyle, and doesn't seem to understand it. As noted above, she is entirely dependent on the Mikaelsons, but still acts like she is somehow an independent person. They arranged for the apartment, they pay for everything she has, she demands that they play babysitter at the drop of hat. One time she effectivly ordered Freya to stop helping trying to find Rebekah, Freya's sister whom she has only ever shown love and respect for, so that Hayley could 'vent' and try, despite the fact that Hayley in truth cares nothing for Rebekah, as she was disapointed that she didn't get to murder her. After being given a house for free by the Mikaelsons, after demanding to be the primary caregiver, she can't even handle being a mother for a single day.  So what happens? She and Jackson order Freya to be babysitter, while they go vent, and then f*ck in the church-gym. Speaking of Jackson, she completely takes him for granted, ditching him whever he wants, and then dares to call it sulking when he gets pissed. She also ditches the entirety of the pack, who welcomed her with open arms despite her doing nothing to prove herself worthy of leadership whatsoever, and generally treats them as cannon fodder. She has nothing of her own, and then demands that people give her stuff. She's even willing to use Hope as a gateway to doing this, seeing as she declared she has to stay with the Mikaelsons in because they're Hope's family, despite the previous season having her say she doesn't want Hope to be a Mikaelson, and they can't be part of their family.
2) As I said, she's a Mary Sue, and a Mary Sue can't be a Mary Sue with only her character, thus comes the way the writers treat her. Quite simply, they edit the story in ways that don't make sense in order to prop Hayley up. The easiest way to show this is to exam her fights. Not a single one of them make any sense. She, while nine and a half months pregnant, beats Mikael in a fight. Mikael, who was able to go blow for blow with Niklaus, while suffering from the bites of an entire pack of werewolves-enough to reduce Rebekah to a shivering wreck-was beaten by Hayley. Carina Mackenzie, who wrote the episode, actually went to twitter to justify this, by given a factoid that was never stated, or even hinted at before, during, or after, and just wreaks of 'half-assed excuse'. Then came her time as a hybrid. She took out an entire pack of werewolves, a species that has made centuries old vampires run, with little effort. She's gone far closer to blow for blow with Originals than should be able-which has led to an infuriating excuse around the wiki of 'they held back b/c they didn't want to kill her' which makes no sense-she managed to overpower and capture multiple members of the Strix, including the 800 year old Shen Min, despite werewolf bites taking time to takeWhich leads to how other enemies treat her. Mikael used none of his strength, the Originals take blows they could easily avoid, Strix vampires elect to choke her, even though they know that won't kill her. The ninth ward witches used rather basic attacks, and didn't so much as telekinetically throw her, when these acts proved failed. We've seen Finn be able to rip a heart out in less than a second with his mind, yet when he, or the Sisters for that matter, attempted to use the same spell on Hayley, it took a long time. Shen Min had her heart in his fist, and he decided to waste time talking. Quite simply, enemies get dumbed down and weakened so that Hayley can seem badass.
Another note is how other character treat her. Elijah fell in love with her in three seconds-which, in the absence of any viable reason just makes it look like he fell in love with her because she's carrying his brother's baby-Jackson fell in love without even talking to her, enough to excuse all her flaws. The Strix have had people compliment her even when she didn't deserve it, and they had no reason to. Davina refered to her as the one person Niklaus fears, and has that taken seriously. Her relationship with Hope is set up as some intrinsic thing, and the fact that Hope would turn against Niklaus because of Hayley is brought up more than once, which is idiotic considering Hope's too young to remember Hayley, and would be more willing to call Freya 'mommy' since Freya is the woman that's actually taken the time raise Hope. In short on that, the writers have confused the 'giving birth' aspect of motherhood with the 'actually raised and developed strong familial relationship' aspect of motherhood, combined with treating Hope's memory as if it's at an adult level.
EDIT: After the second Crescent Curse was undone, the writers possessed Jackson to tell us that Hayley was the one who saved the pack. This is utterly untrue, it was Davina that saved them. She called Hayley to her, she set the terms of the deal, she convinced Celeste to supress the curse. The only thing Hayley did was kill ten more people than she was supposed to have. However, Hayley gets treated as some kind of saviour.
EDIT: Then there's the issue of the pack. Werewolves don't have royal families, the alpha is the one who can beat the others and make them comply. This was, ironically, told to us by Hayley herself. This was completely tossed aside in order to give Hayley the 'secretly part of a speshul family' trope that is a staple of Mary Sue.
And the bit that really is the nail in the coffin, the writers love her so damn much they can't see what they've created. And because they can't see it? None of the characters react to it the way they should. In season 2, during the ceremony where both sides have to divulge their secrets? Hayley had to have told Jackson about the hybrid pack, otherwise the ceremony wouldn't have worked. However, because the writers refuse to acknowledge what Hayley did, Jackson comes off as having completely accepted it, which in turn paints him as a horrible person. Hayley is painted as, and treated as, a great warrior, because the writers believe her to be, yet the reality is that her plot armour is shining. The writers have gone on record as saying that Hayley is a favorite to some of them, and that it influences their writing. Notice how I mentioned Carina Mackenzie up there a couple times? She was the one who wrote Hayley beating Mikael, 10 witches, multiple Strix, and having her painted as 'mothe of the year' that Niklaus couldn't even argue against. And when people try to critize Hayley? They're accused of sexism, with the argument that they just can't stand a badass female character, despite the reason for the cricism eing that the badass-ness doesn't make sense, therefore just comes off as fake. Because most of her character flaws are not supposed to be there, none of the characters react to it properly, which only makes Hayley's behaviour look worse. Honestly the list goes on but these are some of the things I would change in originals Hayley was a self centered bitch
