On March 3rd, 1969, The United States Navy established an elite school for the top one percent of it's pilots. It's purpose was to teach the lost art of aerial combat and to insure the handful of men and women were the best fighter pilots in the world if they succeeded.
Today, the Navy calls it the fighters weapons school. The flyers call it: TOP GUN

Introduction
Playing out on the green grass, two young children could be scene with two model airplanes flying them through the skies out in the backyard of the Bradshaw residence.
"Do you think we'll be able to fly together?" a 7 year old Maggie Mitchell asked?
"I hope so I wouldn't want anyone else as my back seater" an 8 year old Bradley Bradshaw answered.
"Like our dads?" she asked again.
"Exactly like 'em" Bradley answered her back.
Looking out over at the two, Pete Mitchell and Carole Bradshaw watched over their kids, a sad smile on both of their faces, sad that neither of their partners could be here to see the friendship the two have made and how amazing their kids turned out to be. Turning back to the kitchen Carole continued making the families dinner, the dinner they had every Wednesday night starting when Carole and Nick Bradshaw first had Rooster. The Mitchell's and The Bradshaw's would be connected forever through friendship and maybe even through some future love and Carole couldn't be happier with her life.

Hello! I just wanted to say hi and let you all know I'm so excited to write this story! I would also like to say as sad as it is The story of Top Gun doesn't belong to me only my respective characters and their storylines! I would also like to mention that I'm going to make Hangman one of Roosters high school friends because he's going to be one of Maggie's friends!
