A guy surrounded with many secrets and with many possible identities. Little is known about him so there's plenty of space for speculations.

There's one character that does have familiar features and potentially is the true face of (probably) 2nd Harbinger. It's the Bloodstained Knight!
Before the analysis begin, a quick summary of Bloodstained Chivalry lore. There once lived a noble White Knight who greatly valued chivalry and would interfere to correct any injustice. One day he became violent, fighting his foes non-stop, getting drenched in blood until the point he no longer could tell whether it was his enemies' blood or his own. He joins the abyss order and learns about the Celestia's injustice.
First things first, The White Knight valuedhonor greatly. In Il Capitano mentions that Signora's methodshave tainted her honor but her death is still unfortunate. This implies that(probably) 2nd Harbinger values honor a lot just like theBloodstained Knight used to.

Secondly, his main feature is that he's mostly dressed in black. Even the crystal on the coat that all the Harbingers wear is pitch black. The most outstanding detail – the void-like helmet, hiding his face under pitch-black darkness. Coincidentally, this is what the artifacts set says that so did the originally White Knight, later Bloodstained Knight wear such helmet, hiding his identity and making everyone wonder who he is.

Next up, Bloodstained Final Hour piece talks about Bloodstained Knight joining the abyss after he has returned to his homeland – "ancient fallen kingdom". Based on the information we have in game right now, it is clear that this Kingdom is Khaenri'ah (it was wrongfully cursed, its citizen's turned into monsters such as hilichurls and so on).

This likely explains why exactly the Capitano's design has the knot patterns present in Khaenri'ah, because he had taken residence there to defend the Abyss and seek justice for Celestia's crimes against them.
Lastly – the shape of Il Capitano's helmet and the helmet of the artifact set. Outstanding 4 pointed star can be seen upfront, matching the one on the circlet of the set and the one of The Captain we know today.

On the other hand, in the time piece of the set it is implied that the Bloodstained Knight dies in the 'ancient kingdom', in the battle inside monsters' lair. As we can see, the Harbinger is safe and sound but who knows? Maybe the body was never found, considering he died in the monsters lair where probably no human other than him set foot.

Il Capitano being the Khaenri'ah survivor and Bloodstained Knight makes sense why he could be a 2nd Harbinger. Pierro witnessed similar events and so the two should understand each other better than anyone else. That way, The Jester can easily make The Captain his right hand.
