♥︎Chapter Twenty-One:
Snap Out of It

☕︎Five tumbled through whirls and flashes of light that were somehow blinding and deafening at the same time.

He didn't have control of his body as he flailed around helplessly, until the world opened back up again and he fell face first onto the bar table in his living room. At least the heavy, uncomfortable briefcase saved his fall.

His hearing was still muffled from the explosion, as well as the time traveling part, but he could definitely make out some kind of noises that might have been yells of either horror or surprise. Maybe both.

"You guys, am I still high, or do you see him too?" The distinct voice of Klaus could be heard through the buzzing in his ears.

Ok, perfect. He was home, now he just had to know if he had managed to mess it up again.

He went to push himself up, but a sharp pain screamed at him to stop. He wasn't sure where and he wasn't sure why. He was sore everywhere, but he was sure it wasn't anything to worry about. Because of this, he chose the easiest way to get back onto the ground. By rolling off of the table and onto the floor.

Luckily two people grabbed him before he could hit his head again.

"Five, where have you been?" Someone else asked. He wasn't sure who, but it was someone in the room. Probably Luther with his demanding voice,

"Are you alright?"

"Who did this?"

Questions were being shot at him left and right though he wasn't exactly in the right state to even be able to tell his left from right. He wouldn't let that stop him though.

When he had steadied himself on his own two feet, the two pairs of hands loosening their grip on his arms, his vision began to steady as well and he saw the one thing he needed right now right before his eyes. A coffee.

He grabbed it out of Allison's hands, who had been one of the people helping him stand. "Irrelevant."

He pushed himself away from the stool he was leaning on and brushed some of the debris from his uniform, limping his way to the center of the room while chugging down the last bit of coffee from Allison's to-go cup.

He let out a sigh, feeling the heavy gazes on his back.

He was sure he probably looked like even more of a madman than usual to them. Covered in dust, soot and probably a bit of blood, his face covered in the same things as his eyes twitched. He hadn't realized how tried he was, but he couldn't stop now.

Not holding the suspense much longer, he turned to face them. Everything was much clearer now. Diego stood behind the bar and in front of it was Allison, Luther, Klaus and... Angelina.
