I did what Fia said to me.

I avoided Reese.

It wasn't easy to do because Reese had been persistent with me all of a sudden. He still constantly wants to meet me even when I make excuses that I can't because I'm busy with this.

I also made excuses whenever he messages me because he tends to message me almost every day. Every morning, lagi akong nakakatanggap ng "good morning" messages galing sa kaniya at pati narin "good night".

I even made excuses to him whenever I replies late to his messages intentionally.

"Sorry, I'm currently busy with something."

"Hi! Sorry, I wasn't feeling better. Natulog ako the whole weekend."

"Omg! Sorry late reply, nagbabasa kasi ako ng book. I was on hook with the plot."

Kahit hindi naman lahat totoo.

A part of me is guilty of intentionally making these lies just to avoid him because I don't want him to have a bad impression of me..., or anyone else on that matter. Especially now that most of the students at school think that we are a thing.

"Hey, Fina. Check these books that I ordered online. The covers are so pretty."

I shifted my head to my ajar door as I heard Fia's door open from her room. Our room are just situated close to each other kaya rinig na rinig namin lagi ang isa't-isa.

"Wow! That's so many. You sure you'll be able to read all of that?"

She started taking the books out and stacked them in an organized manner. I looked at the stack of books and I believe she ordered more or less 15 books.

"Do you underestimate my reading capability?" she asked mischievously.

"Of course not, twinny. You're the biggest bookworm I know."

Fia's a big reader. I don't know where she inherited it though. Dad had a few books in his office but it doesn't fully occupy a shelf. Mom..., we have more magazines here in the house than books.

Try reading kaya. It's fun you know," she said.

"Little Women? Ito yung sa movie, right? Starring Winona Ryder?"

"Tsk. It was a book first before it became a movie..." she muttered.

"But yeah, it's that movie. Though hindi ko pa nawa-watch ang movie. I plan to watch it after I read that."
