Later that night there was a small welcoming party for the newcomers, the Arnold family.
After living in Le Bella for quite some time now, they had settled in very nicely. One afternoon Kay was feeding her horse in the little barn she and her family had built, and Whitey was riding around for a daily look, as he decided to stop for a small visit.
"Oh! Hello Whitey!" Kay became quite excited with him coming to visit her.
"Howdy Kay!" Whitey said sweatly
"What are you doin here on this fine afternoon?" she asked him.
"Well... I came to ask you a question." Whitey exclaimed
"Oh? Ask away" she was quite nervesoe for what he might ask.
"Well i- I was wondering- maybe you'd-" Whitey stuttered out the words, but finally said, "Would you like to take a walk with me this evening?".
Kay was in a bit of shock but was very delighted to be asked, "Well well, took ya long enough" she said with a wink.
"I-I take it it's a yes?" Whitey asked a bit nervous
"Yes, it's a yes" she said with a smile.
