TW: alcohol, partying, swearing

"Just do it coward" Sophia rolled her eyes before talking another sip of beer.

"I don't want to" I whined.

I had just been dared to ask out Alex. The streamer kid. A few people say he's gotten big, a few say he's a wannabe. Personally, I've never checked his account, I'm in no place to judge. Something about him was off.

"I'll give you 200 dollars." Rory smiled, taking her wallet out.

"I'll put 500 more in" Sophia smiled.

"Make it 1,000 and we have a deal." I glared at them.

"Deal" Rory giggled.

"Now go. Or you get nothing" Sophia laughed, taking another swig of beer.

"Can I get to know him first?" I grumbled.

"As long as it results in a date." the blonde chuckled.

I glanced across the room to try to spot him. He was sitting on the stairs with a drink in his hand and his phone in his other. He wasn't terrible looking, he just wasn't my type.

"Fine" I sighed as I walked through the crowded party of drunk students to get to him.

I sat down next to him and sighed.

"Hey" I smiled.

He looked around, like he didn't expect me to talk to him.

"Hi?" he said, confusion in his voice.

"How's the party?" I asked, glancing at my shoes.

"Good? Look this is weird. What do you need." he chuckled, glancing at his drink.

I sighed before getting ready to lie.

"Ok. I saw you earlier and thought you were cute so I came over here, hoping we could talk." I cringed slightly at the sentence.

I saw a slight blush grow on his cheeks.

"Oh. Well I feel like an asshole now." he chuckled, avoiding eye contact.

"No need to." I giggled

"Is this a dare?" he made eye contact and smirked slightly.

"What no! I legit wanted to talk to you" I frowned.

"Ok." he smiled.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're Alex right?"

"That's me. And you are?"

"Adeline but you could just call me Addy." I smiled.

"Well Addy. I'm glad you came over. You're not bad looking either" he smiled, not breaking eye contact.

I felt a small blush creep up on my cheeks. This can't be right.

"I'm glad I came over too" I glanced down at my rings.

"Promise this isn't a dare?"

"Promise"

"Cross your heart?"

"Cross my heart and hope to die" I smiled.

Did I feel bad about lying? Yes. He seemed nice. I came here for one thing though.

"Hey. How about we get lunch tomorrow." I smiled.

"Lunch sounds great. Where do you want to go?" he smiled back.

"Maybe the café down the street?"

"Sounds great. Meet you there at 11?"

"How's 11:30"
