Chapter 19

Lorenzo went to the precinct, the twins were called to the visitation area.

Stefan and Sebastian sat in front of their father, they looked exhausted a few days after their arrest.

"Mga anak, i have something to tell.. You know, Claire right?" he said, the twins looked at him.

"Well, about that.. She will set you free, but her demand is i won't sign the divorce papers."

"Dad, if that's what she want, do it!" Sebastian said,

"Pero hindi naman niya mahal si Tita Claire, mag isip ka nga!" Stefan uttered,

"Naririnig mo ba ang sarili mo, Kuya? This is not the time to be selfish! Kailangan tayo nina Mommy at Mama, hindi mo ba nakikita kung gaano sila nahihirapan habang nandito tayo, if it his consequence, let it be!" Sebastian outburst of anger.

"Tama naman si Seb, anak.. At kapag naiurong na ni Claire ang kaso, malaya na kayo. Makakasama na ninyo sina Florence at Celine. So i've made up my mind—i'll abide by her demands, i will not sign the divorce papers."

"Dad, sure na ba talaga kayo?" Stefan is shocked.

"Para sa inyo, gagawin ko." he pat the twins' hair.

He stood up and hugged his sons for the last time, Stefan reciprocate his hug and Sebastian just stood there.

"Pupunta dito mamaya ang mga abugado ko, aasikasuhin nila ang release papers. Mahal na mahal kayo ni Daddy, ipagdarasal ko na sana dumating ang araw na magkikita tayo muli." he cried while looking at them.

As promised, the lawyers went to the precinct and immediately released the twins from the prison cell, Celine and Florence were elated but at the same time, worried, because Stefan and Sebastian looked different. They were tired and sleepless.

The family went home, Mamita cried when she saw her grandchildren and hugged them.

"Akala ko hindi ko na kayo makikita mga apo ko!"

"Mita, don't worry po.. Hindi na kami mawawala sa'yo." Sebastian assure her.

Stefan went upstairs, he didn't even tried to look at his twin. He slammed the door.

"Uhm.. Sinabi kasi ni Lorenzo sa kanila na hindi niya pipirmahan ang divorce papers kapalit ng kalayaan nila, nainis si Stefan kay Seb." Florence said to her Mom.

"Hindi naman natin masisisi yung bata, he needs a father.. Well, Lorenzo made a decision already." Mita says, "Tara na, kumain na tayo!"

"Stefan, anak.. Usap tayo!" Celine knock three times before Stefan opened the door.

"Don't tell me you even agree on Sebastian's reason!" he let her in, they sat at the edge of the bed.

"Anak, hindi. Alam kong mahirap sa'yo na lumaki ng walang Tatay, ako naman hindi kita ipinagdaramot kay Lorenzo. Natuwa pa nga ako ng una mo siyang makilala noong nasa school kayo. Iba ang spark ng mga mata mo kapag kasama mo ang Daddy mo. Pero wala naman tayong magagawa kung iyon ang desisyon niya, isinakripisyo niya ang pagiging ama niya sa inyo para hindi na na kayo madamay pa." Celine hugged him and gently caress his hair.

"Mom, salbahe ba akong anak?" he asked,

"Noo, never! Kahit na madalas tayo mag away noong nasa UK tayo, you always make me proud!" she replied, she kissed his forehead.

"Thank you, Mom.. I know i can count on you!" Stefan wipe his tears and smiled, Celine caress his face.

"Mom will always have your back, kaya tara na.. Kumain na tayo, panget!"
