Cale is very much aware of how their Traveler and Honorary Knight reputation could affect how people view them. Because, after all, he spent a decade deliberately manipulating people's perception of him by tarnishing his own reputation and upping Basen's reputation in the process.

And due to the objective of their journey (aka finding the Archons) along with Lumine's altruistic nature (Cale's altruistic too but he will never admit it), Cale believes that it's pretty much inevitable for them to get involved in the nations' crises.

That was why he doesn't argue much when Ayaka and the Resistance deliberately involve them in their civil war. However, he will absolutely make sure he and Lumine will get appropriate compensations in return, as he will not let anyone take advantage of their strength for free.

(Cale likes Liyue just as much as Mondstadt, a major reason being it's a gathering of people waiting to be scammed. Menogias does not know how to feel about this.)

List of people Cale-ahem, negotiated with:

Kaeya: For any mission Kaeya requests them to do, Cale would up the reward as much as he needs to. In a way, Kaeya is pretty much Teyvat's version of TCF!Alberu, except he's not as rich as the crown prince.

Ningguang: Got compensation for being wrongfully branded as criminals and for their aid in defeating Osial. She is also interested in Cale's intellect and has a desire in making him work under her.

Ayaka: Demanded appropriate compensation because the travelers are not heroes (at least, they never intended to) and the Resistance were basically asking complete strangers to fight a god in a civil war that had nothing to do with them.

Ei: Compensation for being wrongfully branded as criminals because as the Vision Hunt Decree states, only people with visions are to be arrested. And since the Shogun is already recompensing those whose visions were confiscated, it is added with the committed injustice of hunting those without visions. And Ei, whose sense of money is lacking, decided to just give the travelers a lot, to Cale's joy.

Dori: His rival. He scams her by selling her rare items and materials that can only be found in other nations. (Cale actually became a bit of a hoarder when collecting materials)

Thanks to Lumine and their friends, Cale quickly develops a liking for travelling and adventure. After realizing this, Cale found that he now disliked how he spent pretty much his entire life cooped up in the Henituse Territory.

*Also, just to let you guys know regarding the latest Sumeru update. [Spoilers]

Like all of Teyvat, Menogias has forgotten Rukkhadevata. However, thanks to his contract with Cale, he is able to relearn her existence, but he still doesn't actually personally remember her. He is the only one from Teyvat that is still aware of Rukkhadevata's existence.

Question:

1.) Is 'witch' a used term in TBOAH? Are there only mages and priests?
