Manik's pov

I got ready in a black suit and grabbed my keys and phone walking downstairs to Nandini's apartment. I knocked but she didn't open it, so I tried turning the knob and guess what this girl left her house open again like seriously how many times do I have to tell her to lock up.

I walked inside shutting the door and it was unusually quiet whihc meant she wasn't home. I walked to her room anyways and guess what!!!! She is sleeping, she is freaking sleeping

She was in such an uncomfortable position, her head on the bed rest and her neck looked stiff and weird. I shook my head at how she is sleeping.

"Nandini" I called and she stirred a little

"Nandini wake up" I said caressing her hair

"Ahhh ghosstttt" she screamed jumping up

"Jeez, clam down" I said and she freaked out seeing me

"What are you doing here" she asked

"Well you see we had to go and by now we should have been at the party but here you are sleeping like a child" I said

"Oh shit balls, I don't even know how I fell a sleep, im so very sorry manik, give me 10 minutes" she said running into her closet without even hearing my reply

I looked around her room and found pictures of cabin, navya arun, and I. It was really surprising to find my picture on the wall, it was from when I won the best businessman award a couple months ago, I smiled seeing this

It was weird that she didn't have any pictures of her family or actually anyone other than the five of us. I chuckled when I came across a picture of cabir laughing and arun on the floor.

"Manik is this okay" I heard her voice making me turn around

My jaw hit the floor seeing her, she had a few pieces of her hair curled, some mascara and lip tint on her lips. She was wearing a beautiful black gown, the gown was not doing justice to her natural beauty.

I heard her clearing her throat making me realize I was staring actually no I was gawking at her. I took a deep breath trying to relax because she was doing a lot to me without even realizing.

"Manikkkkk"

'Yes what" I asked and she shook her hair a little

"Can I wear sandals please, I will fall in heels" she said

"Yes you may" I said and she sat on the bed putting on her sandals

"Lets go" she said yanking me making me shake my head at her

I opened her door when we got to the parking and she sat inside, I got in and started driving

"Nandini how many times have I told you not to leave your apartment open, I came in today and it was open, even a few days ago it wa open. I have told you to be careful and safe but you don't listen" i sid and she pouted hearing me

"Par apartment complex mai koi ni a sakta na keys kai bina"

"Yes but tum careful ni rahogi toh kaise chalega"

"Ap itna dattai kyu ho" she asked

"Kyuki tum sunti ni ho" i said

"I ahhhh I am gonna punch you in that handsome face of yours" she said and I smirked

"So im handsome" I asked

"Yes very handsome" she said smiling

"Thank you but you need to start building a habit of locking your door, is that clear" I asked

"It's clear" she said and I nodded

"Stay close to me"

"No" she said and I glanced at her

"Why not"

"Apnai meko complement bhi ni dia" she said looking at me

I smiled hearing this because how do I tell her that nothing in this world can compare to her beauty, how do I tell her she is making me feel a shit load of things that I have never felt before.

I took a deep breath and parked at the party, I knew she was still pouting. I got out and opened her door, she held my hand coming out. I shut her door and we walked inside.

"Here goes nothing" she mumbled

"It'll be okay" I said and she nodded

I reached down and interlocked my fingers with hers.

"Ready girlfriend" I asked

"Always boyfriend" she said making me smile

We walked inside and were swarmed with media, everyone had cameras out, mikes. There were a billion flashes going on at the same time, seeing this Nandini held onto my hand tighter sorta hiding behind me

"It's okay, I have got you" I said and she nodded

We went inside dodging all the questions, she spotted cabir as soon as we got in and she ran faster than lighting to him

"Cabirrrr, see" she said twiring around in her dress

"You look gorgeous sweetie" he said kissing her head

"Thank you, i fell a sleep otherwise I would have looked even prettier" she said sadly

"Aww it's okay sweetie, you look perfect" he said and she put her head on his shoulder

"Bhai" she called

Everyitme she calls him bhai, cabin's eyes fill with happiness, he loves Nandini a lot

"Hanji"

"Meko dar lag haha hai" she whispered and my heart felt sad hearing his

"Dar kyu" he asked caressing her hair

"I know I said I will be okay but if"

"Nothing will happen" he said

"Mr dhawan" a client called and Nandini lifted her head off of his shoulder and walked to me

"Ill be right back" cabir said and we bot nodded
