Chapter 24: Master vs students

(A/N: Sorry this took so long but I hope you enjoy!)

Izuku stood in front of the four girls, his hands resting on the pommels of his swords as they sat in their sheaths. The girls stood ready with their swords drawn.

Everything felt like it was frozen for them as Izuku stared at them from behind his helmet. The girls could feel the tension in the air as both sides waited for the other to make the first move.

Izuku suddenly gripped the hilts of his swords and the girls sprang into action. Katsumi jumped towards Izuku, swinging her huge sword at him as Stella and Shoka went to flank him with their fire and ice while Izumi stayed back to use her telekinesis where it was needed and try to get her sword in wherever she could.

Izuku simply brought one of his swords up to block Katsumi's swing. The force of which pushed everyone else back, leaving the two alone for a second. "Holding back will only get you killed, Katsumi."

Katsumi flinched at his words before getting grabbed and thrown into the nearby tree line. Izuku looked around and saw Stella and Shoka were both coming out of the trees, fire pouring off of their swords as they charged towards Izuku. Izuku was about to jump away but felt himself being held in place and saw Izumi was keeping him from escaping.

When the two girls reached their target, Stella slashed her sword, sending a huge wave of flames hurtling towards Izuku, while Shoka hesitated for a second before unleashing her flames on Izuku. Izuku could only stand there and try to block as much of the blast as he could.

When the smoke died down, Izuku walked out with his armor glowing of heat slightly. "You will need to do better than that to stop me."

Izuku charged towards Shoka, brining both of his swords down on her. She barely managed to block the attack in time before she would get hit. Izuku saw the look in her eye.

"Shoka, you can't hold back against me. You need to go all out."

"I..." Shoka kept struggling against Izuku, barely able to hold him back.

"I love you, Shoka. This fight has no bearing on that. Use every ounce of your power for me. Show me the strong brave girl that I fell in love with. Please."

Shoka's swords were both coated in flames in a second, the strongest she'd ever produced. Izuku smiled behind his helmet and jumped back to avoid the flames that threatened to get too close.

One of her swords went from fire to ice in an instant as she sent it towards Izuku. He dodged to the side and brought his swords up to stop a hoard of sword pieces that came flying towards him.

Stella ran up and slashed at him, only to meet a shield coming out of Izuku's gauntlet. Izuku pushed back everything with a sudden force, electricity coursing around his body. "Heh, you girls are doing well." He looked around and noticed something. "Katsumi."

Katsumi was running through the forest looking for the exit to the area. She needed to be fast before Izuku realized and caught up to her. "Damnit. Where the fuck is it?"

She was running, looking frantically for any sign of it. She heard Izuku coming closer and needed to hurry. She began running as fast as she could, hearing the heavy footsteps behind her. She came to a stop when a sword landed in front of her, turning to the direction it came from.

She saw Izuku walking out of the woods, electricity coursing and footsteps making holes in the ground. She realized that Izuku was walking against Izumi's telekinesis towards her. "You thought you could escape me? Not even close."

Katsumi reached back to grab her sword but she stopped when she noticed something. She was shaking. She felt scared. Scared of losing her friend again. Losing the relationship she had worked so hard to recover. Losing...

Katsumi gripped her sword tight as she pulled it free of its sheath and pointed it towards Izuku as the words that Izumi said to her rang through her head again. He could see the determination in her eyes hidden behind the tears that threatened to fall from them. Izuku couldn't help but smile under his helmet as he pushed his way towards her.

He pulled his last sword from its sheath as he heard fast approaching footsteps. He looked around and saw that Shoka and Stella were both approaching fast from the sides. The force attempting to pull him back stopped, leaving him surrounded on three sides by his students.

Katsumi, Stella and Shoka all looked at each other before nodding, confusing Izuku. Then he felt a strange heat coming from Stella. He looked over and saw something he didn't expect. The area around Stella was slowly turning to ash as the area around her began to heat up at an astonishing rate. "Dragon Spirit!"

Heat seemed to explode from Stella and she jumped towards Izuku at blinding speeds. Izuku barely managed to block her attack in time and was pushed back by the sheer force of the attack. 'What the hell is this power?'

Stella moved to slash at him again, moving faster than before and not giving Izuku a moment to breathe. Izuku blocked her and she went for another. She kept attacking him, keeping him on the defensive, until they both heard something break. The blade of Izuku's sword flew through the air.

Izuku looked at the handle of his sword and threw it away since it was useless to him at this point. He quickly looked over to the sword he threw earlier and noted that Katsumi was standing in front of it, blocking him from getting to it.

He looked back at Stella only to immediately dodge out of the way of her sword and into a wall. He looked back and saw a giant wall of ice blocking him in, leaving his only way out through Stella.

"Heh, you girls have really got me trapped, huh? Well, guess there's no point in holding anything back at this point."

In the observation room, everyone was watching the fight between Izuku and the girls. None of them had any idea what would happen next since before Izuku seemed to be winning, now he seemed to be losing.

What they didn't see was the two who were watching the fight unfold. Bakugou was smiling as he watched Izuku on the back peddle. His smile immediately dropped when he saw all too familiar lightning coarse around his body.

He could feel his anger beginning to boil up in his body. 'That damn Deku! He thinks he can have One for All instead of me?!' Explosive sparks were coming off of his hands and Shoto saw this and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder.

"Katsuki, you need to calm down. We'll get in serious trouble if we're caught." Katsuki grit his teeth but relented.

Izuku had summoned his Muramasa and began to fight Stella with his enhanced strength. The clashing of their swords shot shockwaves around them, cracking the ice.

Once the ice began to fall away, Izuku saw something coming towards him and brought his sword up to block it and saw Katsumi with a smirk on her face. Realizing his mistake, Izuku tried to push her away but wasn't able to in time.

Katsumi's sword let off a huge explosion point blank at Izuku, completely engulfing him. Katsumi was sent flying back from the force of the explosion. Stella released her power and collapsed to the ground in exhaustion.

Shoka stood ready to use her ice, waiting for the smoke to clear. Before it did, though, they saw the black armor beginning to walk out of the smoke, hood slightly burning. "Very impressive, girls. If I didn't have One for All, I would have lost by now." Izuku brought his hand up and caught a piece of sword that came flying out of the forest. "But still predictable."

Izuku opened his hand and saw a note attached to the metal. "Gotcha!" Izuku felt something click on his wrist and saw the capture cuffs on his wrist as Izumi came out of the tree line with a smirk. 

He couldn't help but smile. "Heh, guess I got too overconfident in my skill and knowledge. I guess even I have things I need to improve." Izuku walked over to the dazed Stella and picked her up in a bridal carry and the five walked out of the testing area together.
