winter

It was a cold night on the surface.

It had been a few years since the two

skeletons had come out of the

Underground, and Blue still wasn’t

quite used to the temperature

changes throughout the year. Fell

was quite comfortable with the cold

as he could wear heavier clothing

and watch the blizzard as the snow

fell outside their cabin in the woods.

Most of the monsters lived close to

eachother in a sort of park setting,

Papyrus now lived alone in his own

small cabin, Undyne and Alphys lived

together in a larger cabin and

Nabstaton, of course, lived in a fancy

mansion a few blocks away. 

Fell was lying on the couch alone,

covered in a blanket, dozing of

quietly as the snowflakes fell from

the sky. He loved the big window

they had to the outside, it helped him

remember they were no longer stuck

in the infinite loop of being

underground. He watched as a

bundled up monster walked by the

window, it was Blue. He opened the

door with a big gust of cold wind and

snow. He closed the door quickly and

set down his bags. “You wouldn’t

believe how cold it is out there!” He

exclaimed, taking off his coat and

scarf. Fell felt himself stare slightly as

he realized Blue wasn’t wearing his

armor. Very rarely did he see his

partner without armor on. Yes he had

been seeing him wearing more

comfortable clothes recently but he

still was amazed at how beautiful

Blue was. He looked strong and

dangerous even without armor on, a

thing that always made Fell’s heart

skip a beat. “If ‘s so cold,” Fell

mumbled, “Why not you join me?”

Blue looked up at him “Hmm?” Fell

felt his face grow hot. “I said, why not

you join me?” Blue’s eyes lit up and

he finished taking off his snowgear

and plopped down on the couch

beside Fell. “This is nice!” Blue said,

gazing into Fell’s eyes. Fell had to

look away, he still didn’t know how

to deal with the fact he had someone

who loved him enough to look at him

that way. Fell mumbled something

and gave Blue some of the blanket

before shifting down to a lying

position. Blue looked at the blanket

for a second, not sure what to do. But

he resigned and laid beside Fell. Fell

felt himself smile at the warm

embrace from Blue. It was truly a

wonderful winter.
