Summer was fine. It just isn't fun anymore. My mum is constantly on edge about the Death Eaters and the kills that are constantly being printed. The only reason I read the Daily Prophet anymore is so that I don't see any familiar names in the death counts.
Did you hear about Amelia Bones' death? Susan was pretty devastated about it.
I guess in war, everyone loses something.
How are you anyway? How was your summer? Although I can't imagine it was great with the reporters constantly bombarding you.
What about your OWL results? Pretty sure you failed History of Magic, though that was kinda obvious. You definitely got top marks in DADA. I heard from someone that your Patronus during that exam left the examiner's jaws hanging.
Anyways, your nose was covered in blood today during the welcome feast! What happened?! I hope it's all good now.
Snape is the DADA professor?! What the fuck is Dumbledore thinking?
I hope this year is better than the previous ones.
