3rd Person pov

A beautiful Saturday morning.

Penelope sat at the table, reading books concerning different kinds of clothings.

Giyuu sat on the floor nearby, cleaning his katana with a cloth.

Penelope looked up from her book and turned to him.

Setting her book down on the table, she leaned her head on her palms while placing her elbows on her knees.

"Giyuu." - Penelope

"Hmm?" - Giyuu

He looked up at her.

"Is it cold where you come from?" - Penelope

He hummed.

"In winters, yes." - Giyuu

She sighed.

"That was not what I was asking. I meant generally. If you could tell me if the average weather is cold or not, I'd be grateful." - Penelope

"It is not cold throughout the year. Though that depends on where in Japan you are." - Giyuu

She nodded.

"Are you sent on missions to cold places?" - Penelope

He nodded remembering the family of charcoal sellers.

"Quite often." - Giyuu

She hummed as a small smile took over her features.

She opened her book once again and turned to the page concerning mufflers.

She sighed for the second time that morning and turned to Giyuu who was still busy cleaning his katana.

"Giyuu. What's your favorite color?" - Penelope

He paused and looked at the ceiling, then at her before shrugging and returning his attention to his katana.

Penelope pursed her lips and stared at him, deadpanned.

"You used up all your energy yesterday, didn't you?" - Penelope

He nodded.

"And now you refuse to speak more than necessary because you spoke a lot yesterday?" - Penelope

He nodded yet again.

"How long is it going to take to recharge your energy?" - Penelope

He shrugged.

She sighed for the third time, palming her face.

She eyed his sword.

She had seen his sword before but it never failed to fascinate her.

The blue that ran down the beautiful blade matched the owner's eyes.

Something in a different language was engraved on the blade near the hilt.

That was something that always piqued her curiosity.

Her head snapped towards the door as she heard footsteps nearing her chambers.

Familiar footsteps.

She ran to lock the door but Giyuu beat her to it.

He nodded at her before gathering his belongings and dashing towards the window.

He looked around for people and jumped out when he saw no one.

The person outside tried the door quite roughly but knocked after finding it locked.
