Zoey and Kida walks from behind the curtains laughing

You: what are y'all up to?

Zoey: nothing. Kida just almost lost his life on that ladder.

You: Leon you okay?

Kida: (laughs) I'm fine. She's over exaggerating.

Zoey: Um mom. I'm going over Kida's house tonight.

You: (look at Zoey) Zoe.

Kida: (steps back) I'm going to take this last box up.

You: thanks Leon.

Kida: (walks away)

Zoey: Mom. Don't do this. Picks up a paper off the ground.

You: I'm not doing anything. Zoey call me when you get there and please just be honest with me okay?

Zoey: okay mom. I'll text you.

You: okay. Where's your sister?

Zoey: she left already...with Arjay.

You: I know. Arjay is staying over tonight.

Zoey: oh? I didn't know that.

You: (looking at Zoey) I think she is having problems with Mya. I didn't see her tonight.

Kida: (walks back around) All done.

Zoey: okay well I'm going to head out.

You: Alright Leon. Thanks.

-10 minutes later in your office-

Devon: (playing Fortnite on his phone)

KB: Alright everyone is out. It is just your mom and baby Rosie.

You: (look up from your phone) Thanks baby. I'm taking them home.

Kb: you want me to ride with you?

You: actually can you just take Devon in. I'm sure he's tired. Also Chloe is home (laughs a little) So she needs an eye.

Kb: (laughs) okay. (Walks over and kisses you) You ready Devon?

KB and Devon leaves

15 minutes later

You: (walk in your mom's room) she's asleep.

Y/m: Kayla is going to be out all night , watch. It's crazy how everyone of my kids became night owls.

You: (laughs) because mom you were a night owl.

Y/m: Not me. I'm about to go to bed as soon as you leave.
