i looked at masons phone as he handed it to me through the window.

it was the poster online.

"when's this coming out?" i asked.

"soooooooon" he emphasised.

"you should come to a private screening with us" miguel said.

"im not into horror" i said.

"oh come on! it's not even that scary"  mason said.

"did you add my phone number?" mason asked.

"what?" i said, purely confused.

"my- phone number.." he said, confused as well.

"you gave me your phone number?" i asked.

"okay hold on- add your phone number into my phone" he said as he pointed to his phone that was held in my hands.

i went to the phone app and added my phone number with the name "y/n !" on it.

i then handed him the phone back as he smiled.

"i'll see you guys around" my mom said as i waved and we drove off.

i exhaled the moment my mom rolled up the window and drove off far.

"what?" she asked.

"awkward" i said.

"oh come on y/n-"

"you can't say it's NOT awkward because that was sooooo awkward" i said.

"it was fine! now you'll go to a private screening-"

"that's not guaranteed" i smiled as my mom rolled her eyes and drove us back home.

"that's a lot of dedication" i said.

"what?" she asked now.

"driving me somewhere just to prove me wrong" i said as she laughed.

"i think i became really good friends with your friends so i HAD to prove you wrong" my mom said.

"my friends?" i asked.

"the cast!"

"oh whatever! i don't even know if they would classify me as their friends"

"oh trust me they would" my mom said as we now pulled into the driveway

"that can be questionable" i said.

we went back into the house, and in all honesty, i spent the rest of the day texting mason.
