Six years ago...six years ago when everything changed in your life. It had been six years since you last saw or heard from Aemond after he lost an eye due to your younger brothers and cousins getting into a fight over the rights to your aunt Laenea's dragon Vhagar. You had been with your grandfather Ser Corlys listening to his tales about his time on the water when it all happened and you had been brought in by the queen and everyone to solidify your brother's side or take Aemond's like you were supposed to since you two were betrothed to him in hopes to stop all the fighting between the two families and when you sided with your brother's a literal fight broke out and your engagement to Aemond was called off which hurt because Aemond was your first love and the one you saw a future with.

"Fine you wanna side with your bastard brothers then go ahead! I don't need you anyways." He said.

"Aemond, please...I love you but this wasn't the way to claim Vhagar." You tried pleading with him but it only upset him more.

"I don't love you, now go and never come back." he said as the tears fell down your face.

And that was the last time you saw him, and the last time you ever opened your heart up to someone instead of choosing to study under your grandfather and stepfather who both loved you dearly as if they were your own and were determined to make you a warrior. You were currently stuck at dragonstone as your grandfather didn't want you fighting in this war with him yet, instead wanting you to be there for your family.

You were out reading by Seasmoke who you claimed and bonded with after your "father" Laenor died which you knew wasn't true and that he needed to disappear in order for your mother to gain the strength that she needed to take the iron throne. You knew that Laenor wasn't your actual father and while he did treat you as his own, you knew that Ser Harwin was your in fact biological dad which wasn't hard to figure out since he did a lot of things that a father would do for their kids, and when you confronted your mother about the truth she told you the truth and was shocked at how calm you were when she told you.

"Y/N, we need to talk." Daemon said making you look up at him.

"What is it Daemon?" You asked him as you shut your book.

"We have to go to Kings landing, Vaemond is trying to make a claim on driftmark." He said as you looked at him confused as to why it had anything to do with you.

"Okay, but why do I have to go? It has nothing to deal with me." You said not wanting to go back to that awful place.

"Because the legitimacy of your brothers will be brought up and it will look suspicious if you aren't there." Daemon said.

"But what about grandfather?" You asked.

"He's too sick right now, the greens are running everything now." He said as you sighed, you really didn't want to see Aemond after that day, after all the mean things he said to you.
