No one ever seems to notice the shadows that dance beneath a flame, how they are just as scary if not more than the flame itself. It was draws people into the flame, its dance made to copy the flames in every way. One cannot exist without the other.

**Part One takes place three years prior to the events of episode 6 of The House of the Dragon. Since I'm lowkey confused on the time jumps in the show I'm going to be aging up some of the events EX: Aegon is twelve in episode six but I'm going to be writing this as if he's fifteen in the events of episode six. I apologize but this is how I'm doing it. Also I'm going with their birth years from the book or around what the book says. Thank you and I apologize if it is confusing with their ages at any point. For reference: At the beginning my own character, Ilyna Strong, is ten as is Aemond. Aegon II is twelve, Helaena is eleven, Jacaerys and Daeron are six, and Lucerys is five.
