My mom is really something

She blackmailed her own daughter just so I could clean the basement!!

I am very angry at her but I am also terrified of her words

She said that she will tell all my friends to take me on a vacation with them without my phone!

She know I can't do that even if I am with someone I need to have my phone to be rest assured. My phone is my life I can't bear to part with it

"You can do it" I give myself some sympathy and start working on our basement. It is like all those basements, it is not old but the things inside in it are

"Ouch" I yelp when a heavy thing lands on my feet

I put the book aside and proceed to clean the remaining things

"Selene, someone's here- oh" my mom stops when she sees the basement clean and with a smile she said, "You complete it"

With a huff, I replied, "Yes and I wanted to ask you something"

She raised her eyebrow and asked, "What?"

I took the book from the side table and give it her, "It's just that I found this book here, is it yours by any chance?"

She inspects the book closely and said, "No, maybe it is your grandma's? I am not too sure though"

Grans? She liked books

"Can I take it?" I ask her hopefully

"Sure" mom replied and my old anger vanished out on thin air

I feel like I am flying

"Oh by the way someone's here to meet you" mom said
