"mikey, finny, and claudia are coming over next weekend!" i told juniper with a smile.

"oh, really?" her eyes widened a bit. "that'll be fun. oh, we've definitely got to show them that new restaurant we found the other day."

my eyes widened too. "oh, my god, yeah! i, like, completely forgot about that place. yeah, we'll definitely have to take them there."

it's a saturday morning, so me and juniper are both free for the day. we cooked breakfast... really, i mean i cooked breakfast; junie hugged me from behind the whole time and occasionally pressed soft kisses to my neck. we ate together on the couch, snuggled together. it's nearing the end of fall, so it's getting pretty cold.

now we're still in the living room. june is sitting on the couch, and i'm sitting in her lap with my legs on either side of her's. i'm holding our hands between us, gently moving them side to side as we talked.

i looked over at snoopy as she jumped up onto the couch. me and junie both laughed as she tried to make her way into my hoodie pocket; only her snout fit in it.

she knows she's too big for that now, yet she still tries to do it every time me or june wear a hoodie.

i dropped one of juniper's hands to run my hand through snoopy's fur. i turned my attention back to junie, who was just watching me with a loving smile. i scrunched my nose up at her.

i draped my arms around her neck. she moved her hands to place them on my waist, under my shirt. i bit my lip as i looked at her.

"let's make a baby. right now," i blurted.

"billie, we've talked about this before," she sighed. "it's not possible for us to just make a baby ourselves."

"i really think if we were to try hard enough, we could," i said with a small nod.

she grabbed my jaw, and she squished my cheeks together. she shook my head back and forth as she spoke. "trust me, if it was possible, we would've been had a mini-you running around the apartment."

i groaned. "this is so homophobic. i want a baby!" i complained as i moved to fall back onto the couch. i propped my legs in june's lap. "hey, archer still wants to be an uncle, you know? he was just telling me about it when he stayed over this weekend. we need to make him one! we're his only hope, junie!"

she rolled her eyes. "well, he'll have to wait," she told me. "again, as much as i want a mini-you running around the apartment, i don't think we need one right now."

i let out a small huff as i crossed my arms. i know that she's right, but i don't want her to be right. "i guess. but i'd much rather have a mini-you running around," i mentioned.

her brows raised. "bil, you were seriously, like, the cutest baby i've ever seen. i just might cry if our kid looks more like me than you," she said in a serious tone.

i bit back a smile. "yeah?"

"i'm so deadass right now," she nodded. "i want them to have your eyes and your nose, especially."

"you want our kid to be genetically inferior?" i questioned teasingly.

she laughed loudly at that. "they'll be fine," she assured. "they'll have gorgeous eyes, so what does it really matter?"

i hummed. i moved my legs from her lap, then gently pulled her to hover over me. "you know... i really think we should at least just try to make a baby," i bit my lip.
