A follow up to the previous Bucky and not a vampire shorts, also part of the Tumblr bingo (the title is the prompt). This time, Bucky and the not a vampire unfortunately meet again. Definitely not the intended meaning of this prompt, but I don't care.

"Absolutely delightful," Bucky mutters as he crouches next to the Hydra soldier, passed out on the ground, pale as the concrete beneath him and barely breathing.

"What the heck keeps doing this to people?" Steve asks as he crouches next to Bucky.

"If you say vampires, I will hit you," Natasha tells Tony.

"A: I wouldn't recommend doing that while I'm in my armor, I don't want you hurting yourself. B: that is still the only possibility any of us have come up with," Tony responds.

"Tony, can you scout out the area? If you're so certain this is caused by a vampire, then they shouldn't be a problem when you wear your armor," Steve says, joking during the last bit.

"Even better, I can scan the area." A blue light flashes around the building for a second. "There's someone else here that isn't unconscious. More evidence for the vampire theory."

"Where?" Bucky asks. "Are they hurt?"

"Their heart rate is frantic, so maybe. Or feeding on humans gives them an adrenaline rush."

Bucky rolls his eyes. "Ha ha. Can we be serious? There's only two hallways left. We'll split up, look for anything or anyone else, and meet back here."

Steve and Tony go down one hallway and Natasha and Bucky take the other. The two assassins creep down the hallway silently, examining every room. "No sign of anything," Natasha tells the other two in her earpiece. The two turn around and head back to where they came from, surrounded by silence.

"Don't move." The voice seems familiar. The whisper enthralls Bucky the second he hears it. It's weirdly hypnotic. Bucky doesn't realize it when he stops walking, or that he is obeying this unknown voice.

"There's something behind you!" he faintly hears someone shout, but it feels like his mind is on a cloud. Everything is floaty and light. The gunshots and yells fall on unhearing ears as Bucky stands in the middle of the hallway. He doesn't wince when fangs dig into his carotid or catch himself when he falls to his knees. He doesn't notice when his vision goes blurry before finally going dark. And he won't remember anything after hearing the voice when he wakes up.
