Hello!

If you've reached the end of my fanction, I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!

The process of writing this book took just under five years overall - a long time, I know, and I definitely wasn't consistent. During writing, I finished school, went to university, and lost motivation for writing during parts of that process. The demands of life very much got in the way; there would be whole months at a time that I'd go without updating between chapters (sorry about that, by the way). But, in the times between writing, I managed to find the motivation to write again - I forgot how much I enjoyed it, how much peace and productivity it brought to me. I really did need that time to create the story that I did and I'm so happy with how it turned out. But mainly, my biggest reason for writing again was my readers.

Seeing all of your comments truly brought my book to life. I loved seeing what everyone would comment. There were times when I'd just read through the comments, laughing, smiling, and I realised this is why I had to keep going with my book - so thank you! Your passion for reading my story truly fuelled my motivation to keep doing what I love.

It does make me sad that I won't be writing this story anymore (hence why I've gone back in and added some extra details, if you do want to give it another read from a fresh perspective), but it has given me the opportunity to see what I can achieve with a bit of perseverance and passion. Reading my story back, and going in to edit parts and add some extra little details, has made me feel so proud of myself. It's an amazing feeling! So, if there's something you're good at, please keep doing it - even if it means taking breaks in between, sometimes that's just what you need to keep you going. Follow what makes you happy.

I fell in love with the characters created by James Dashner and Wes Ball, and I loved adding my own adaptations to their personalities, character arcs, relationships and plot lines. I hope you've all fallen in love as equally as I have. If you have any questions regarding this story, please don't hesitate to leave a comment in this note for me to reply to.

Five years, 67 chapters and 113,577 words later, I'm finally signing out.

Thank you for reading <3
