Diane's POV
we are all sat outside as a woman named Charlotte Blackwood talked to us about MiG-28s
Maverick and Goose were whispering to each other while me and Michelle were doing the same
"hey didn't that happen the other day" she whispered "ya it did" i laughed a bit "excuse me you four" Charlotte says catching our attention "is there something wrong?" she asked "yes ma'am the data on the MiG is inaccurate" Mav tells her "i agree ma'am" i smiled behind him
"how's that" she asked "well i just happened-" he was cut off "we! we" Goose corrected "sorry Goose we happened to see a MiG-28 do a 4G negative dive" Maverick finishes "and girls" she asked us "the same thing actually, it happened, like- 2 days ago" i added "where did you four see this" she smiles "That's classified" Maverick responds "it's what" he smirked and replied with "it's classified, i could tell you but then i'd have to kill you"
"i have top secret clearance, the pentagon see to it that i know more than you" she tells us "well ma'am, it doesn't seem so in this case, does it" Maverick comments
"where were you guys exactly" she asks us "well we" Maverick started "thank you" Goose adds "started up on his 6 when he pulled through the clouds, and then i moved in above him" he explains "how did you see him if you were directly above him" she asks "i was inverted" he shows her with his hands "bullshit" iceman coughs out "no he was, man, it was a really great move. he was inverted" Goose turns to tell him
she then turns to us "girls what about you" she asks "well, he was on my ass so i pulled up above him and watched him" i shrugged "let me guess you were inverted too" she comments "yes ma'am" i nodded
"at what range" she questions us "about 2 meters" maverick turns to goose "it was actually about 1 and a half, i think. i've got a great polaroid of it" Goose answers her "we were about 2?" i turned to Michelle"ya i'd say two" she nodded
"what were you doing there" she asked "communicating" Goose turns to Maverick "communitating, keeping up with foreign relations, you know, giving him the bird" Maverick explained "you know, the finger" Goose flips her off
i press my lips together trying not to laugh "yes i know the finger Goose" she nods and looks over at us "ya communicating, but we took a nicer approach" i looked over at Michelle "and that would be?" she asked "we flashed him" I told her straight faced the whole class looked at us and Maverick and goose whipped around in their chairs
"i'm joking, calm down, that wouldn't even be possible" I added as we laughed at them
"so you're the two i've heard about" she said "yes ma'am" me and Maverick said in unison
the commander told us our task for the day and we all went inside
Maverick and Goose walked in before us, before we walked in i smacked Michelle's butt and whispered "go get him tiger"
"Mav!" she called out as we walked inside, they stopped and looked at us
"c'mon goose, we can't be late" i tell him walking down the hall tapping my wrist as if there was a watch there "you look great, honey" Goose turns to Maverick fixing his collar "thanks dear see you in pre-flight" he responds as Goose comes to catch up with me
"how bout that date" Goose smiled looking over to me "when and where" i replied returning the smile "tonight at 5:00 i'll pick you up" he tells me "where are we going?" i asked while i stopped walking "pick you up at 5" he called out and continued walking
i shook my head watching him walk away
a while later me and Michelle are in a jet about to fly against Commander Heatherly
"Dash, please don't do anything stupid, i can't handle that amount of trouble" Michelle told me from the back "Stupid's my middle name" i laughed "haha. i'm being serious D" she sighed "fine." i rolled my eyes
once we started flying i quickly realised he is much better than most of the people we've flown against
"the fuck did he go" i exclaimed looking around "right behind us! comin in hot D!" she replied "i see him! " i tell her increasing my speed
"what's he doing now" i asked her "still behind us! oh fuck, he closing in on us!" she yells over the loud engines "i know i said i wouldn't be stupid but i have to" i tell her as i fly through the mountains
"Dammit Dash!" she exclaims annoyed with me "watch the mountains" she exclaims
we twist and turn through the mountains but he's still right behind us
I pulled up abruptly causing him to fly right past us
i flew behind him and locked him
the long beeping noise sounds and the green changed to red
"we got him!" i exclaimed "another one down baby" she mocks me
Nick's POV
we flew right after Diane and Michelle
we also won against Commander Heatherly
"Yee-Haw Jester's dead" i laughed "you won? thats bullshit" Hollywood said "didn't everybody" i asked "hell no man, we got our butts kicked" he adds "30 seconds. we went like this he went like that" wolfman showed me with his hands laying on the bench "i say to Hollywood 'where'd he go' and he said "where'd who go'" he laughs
"Dash and Ace won too" i added "wow, we really were the only ones" Wolfman laughs "there he is laughing at us right on the radio, he's laughing at us" Hollywood adds "no, it's me laughing dickhead! we won!" Slider exclaims
we all shook iceman and slider's hand congratulating them
"hey them and the girls won too man" Hollywood tells him "that's not what i heard" Slider says "well we did, we got Jester" i tell him "No no, below the hard deck does not count" Slider shakes his head
"hard deck my ass! we nailed that son of a bitch!" Maverick exclaims as we high-fived "you guys really are cowboys" Iceman comments
"what's your problem Kazansky" Maverick turns to face him "you're everyone's problem, that's because everytime you go up there you're unsafe, i don't like you because you're dangerous" he moves closer to Mav
"that's right! i am dangerous ice..man, i am dangerous" Maverick smiles wiping iceman's shoulders
after we changed we got called into Viper's Office
