Diane's POV

today was my last day before I went to see my dad

we were all walking to our jets about to practice and one of the other pilots tells mav and Goose that Iceman won another one assuming he meant like against Viper and Jester

"i feel the need" Mav started "the need for speed" Goose and Maverick said together high fiving

"i feel the need" i mocked "the need for speed" we both high fived jokingly as the two guys turned to look at us

Michelle and I died laughing at their faces

i blew a kiss to Goose and the two turned around to see where they were going

we all flew around trying to either lock Viper and Jester or stay away from them

me and Ace just flew around playing it safe considering it was my last day for a while

i heard on the head set Maverick and Hollywood, Hollywood was telling Mav to cover him but Mav wanted to go after Viper

"D could you cover me" Hollywood asked me "yup on my way" i replied flying to where they were "where'd Mav go" Michelle asked him "right down there with Viper" he tells me

"oh shit jester's coming up right behind him" i exclaimed "bingo maverick's dead. get outta there kid" Jester says on the headset

after a while me and Michelle ended up getting Viper , and Iceman and Slider got Jester

there were only communal showers so it was male and female mixed so me and Michelle sat on our own bench staring at the ceiling while we waited

"why you guys staring at the ceiling?" Maverick asked us "if this was filled with women you'd look?" Michelle asked Maverick and Goose looked at each other "of course they would" i sighed

"you know you guys are getting looks right now right" Goose told us "well we're sweaty and in only a towel so not surprised" I said "ok i'm outta here, i'll shower at home" i got up and so did Michelle, we went to the girls change room

later that day we went to a restaurant with Carole and Bradley

Goose was playing 'Great Balls of Fire' on the piano to his son and me Michelle and Maverick were sitting with Carole

"Maverick would you go fetch him" Carole nudges him "Doesn't he ever embarrass you?" she asked "Goose? hell no" Maverick answers "well there was this time-" he was cut off by Carole saying "Admiral's daughter" Michelle whipped her head over to me remembering the Admiral's son

"what?!" Mav exclaims "he told me all about the time you went ballistic with Penny Benjamin" Carole laughs "did he? well that's great" Mav seems to be getting embarrassed "he tells me about all of them maverick" she laughs

"thank you Carole, im gonna go embarrass myself with goose now" he gets up and walks over to Goose and sings with him

"i would love to be able to warn you off about maverick,but I just love him to death. I've known Pete for a lot of years now, and i'm telling you one thing's for certain! there are hearts breaking wide open all over the world tonight" Carole smiles at Michelle "why" she asks "because unless you are a fool, that boy is off the market! he is 100% prime time in love with you" Carole exclaims

"you really think so?" Michelle asked with a wide smile "i know so" Carole nodded "Hey Goose you big stud!" i called out "that's me honey!" he replied "take me to bed or lose me forever!" i said laughing "show me the way home honey" he smiled

"come on bradley sing with the family" Goose told his son as the three of us go and join them

"you shake my nerves and you rattle my brain, thinkin' bout your love drives a man insane! You broke my will, oh what a thrill, Goodness gracious great balls of fire!" we all sang

me and Goose went to michelle's and Mav and Michelle went out

you could say me and Goose had a good time

Michelle's POV:

Me and Maverick went for a ride on his motorcycle

he stopped near the beach and we could see to water

"Michelle" Maverick says "yes" I replied looking into his blue eyes "I love you" he smiled "I love you too" I smiled back and kissed him "will you be my girlfriend" Maverick asked me "i don't know" i shook my head he looked at me with his mouth agape "i'm kidding of course i will" i laughed at him
