The scene changes to next morning with Timon searching

Timon: [snidely] Beyond what you see. Beyond what you... [Timon turns toward the camera and shudders.] Hey, how am I supposed to look beyond what I see [Cut to reveal that Timon is looking at Pumbaa's butt.] beyond that?

Pumbaa looks over one shoulder in confusion.

Pumbaa: Huh? Oh, sorry.

Pumbaa moves out of the way to reveal the gorge

Wildebeests graze on the ledges above, while Scar, Simba Maddie and Azazel walk side by side through the gorge.

Azazel: Man. We're our folks really mad at us

Maddie: they weren't mad. They were just upset that we crossed the Pride Land borders. Ya have to remember that we still don't know all there is about here

Azazel: yeah, I know. They were relieved we were okay, but I wish there was a way to show them were old enough to take care of ourselves

Scar: That's why we're here, Children. I think I know a way for you to make it up to them. A gift that will make them forget it ever happened.

Maddie: come on! Uncle Stolas is  a Goetia prince and your brothers king! What could we give them?

Scar: your Roar

Simba Maddie & Azazel: (in unison) our roar?

Scar: [shouting, voice echoing] Yes. [children paus, looking around.] Did you hear that? [children bound after Scar.] This gorge is where all lions come to find their roar.

Simba climbs onto a rock.

Simba: All lions? Even my dad?

Scar: Even Mufasa came here when he was your age. Refused to leave until his roar could be heard above the rim.

Azazel; all the way up there?

Scar: That's when you know you've found it. With a little practice, you'll never be called a cub again.

Simba: Watch this. [Simba readies himself.] *roars kittenishly*

Scar: You'll get it, Simba. Just takes time. I'll check on you later.

Scar walks away.

Simba: Dad will be so proud, won't he?

Scar: It's a gift he'll never forget.

Scar walks off. At the top of the gorge, a herd of wildebeests grazes on grass, while Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed watch from beneath a rocky outcropping.

Banzai: *stomach growls*

Shenzi: Shut up.

Banzai: I can't help it. I'm so hungry.

Banzai stands up and stares longingly at the wildebeest herd.
