The sun rises over Mizimu Grove. The camera pans down to reveal Zazu directing a choir made up of Basi, Mbuni, a female elephant, Muhanga, and Twiga.

Twiga: Kupatana community. One day for unity. Gather together in peace. Our Kupatana community.
Zazu directs with his eyes closed and a smile on his face.
Mbuni: *sings in a foreign language*
Zazu cringes.
Zazu: Oh! [Zazu holds up his wings, and the choir stops singing.] Mbuni, [Zazu flies up to Mbuni, who cowers slightly.] it's maentaeleyo-ya-uhhi. Remember that for tonight!
Mbuni nods meekly.
Mbuni: Mmm-hmm.
Zazu flies back to his perch and continues directing the choir. Cut to Simba watching from afar. He turns around.
Simba: Your dad is sounding good, Beshte.
A wide shot reveals the Lion Guard and the demon families gathered nearby.
Beshte: Thanks, Your Majesty. He's been practicing. It's not every day you get to be a part of the Kupatana celebration.
Ono: Well, considering Kupatana only happens [Ono shrugs pointedly.] once a year...
Bunga runs up to Kion and grabs him by the face.
Bunga: And I can't wait! [Bunga clambers onto Kion's back and ruffles his mane.] It's the biggest party in the Pride Lands!
Loona: I seriously doubt it's just a party badger face
Simba: Yes. Kupatana is the one day all the animals in the Pride Lands gather side by side to celebrate the Circle of Life in peace.
Fuli: *sighs* [Fuli lays down.] Yeah. It's the most peaceful day of the year.
"*yips*"
"*laugh*"
Ono flies offscreen.
Fuli: [miffed] I spoke too soon.
Ono's vision flickers, and he spots Janja's clan chasing a young jackal pup through the Outlands.
Ono: Yep. [Ono swoops back down toward his friends.] It's Janja and his hyenas. They're chasing a little jackal pup though the Outlands.
Myles: *sighs* The Outlands. I wish the Lion Guard defended the Circle of Life out there too, but we don't...
Simba: today is Kupatana, and not just here in the Pride Lands. The spirit of Kupatana extends to all the animals in the Circle of Life, even those in the Outlands.
Kion: Of course. You're right, Dad. [Kion bounds away.] Lion Guard, let's go! [Kion pauses and looks over one shoulder.] We're gonna save that pup!
