A flock of tickbirds takes to the air.
Tickbirds: *caw*
A herd of oryx crests a grassy hill and runs across the plains.
Oryxes: *snort*
One oryx glances fearfully over its shoulder. Janja, Cheezi, and Chungu run among the herd

Janja: Come on, boys! It's lunchtime, and I'm starving!
Chungu: I'm always starving!
Cheezi: *laughs*
"Hyenas!"
The hyenas pull to a halt. Through the dust, the Lion Guard, Maddie, Azazel, and the twins emerge
Chungu: Hey!
Kion steps forward.
Kion: I thought I told you to stay out of the Pride Lands!
Janja: Did ya now? [Janja stands.] My stomach keeps forgettin'.
Chungu: His stomach forgets. *laughs* [Chungu looks at Cheezi.] That's a good one!
Kion: Go!
The hyenas recoil.
Janja: Oh, no.
The hyenas flee.
Cheezi: *laughs* That cub's got no sense of humor!
Kion looks over one shoulder.
Kion: Lion Guard, guys, calm the herd! I'll take care of these guys.
Kion takes off after the hyenas.
Maddie: You got it.
The hyenas flee across the savanna, with Kion in pursuit.
Chungu: We're leaving? What about lunch?
Janja: All of a sudden, I'm not so hungry.
Cheezi: But, Janja, you said you were starving!
Janja: Just run, fur-brain!
The hyenas race toward the Outlands. They cross a river using a fallen log. Kion runs onto the log as the hyenas flee into the Outlands.
Kion: That's right! Back to the Outlands! [Kion pauses in the middle of the log.] Now! 
The log breaks beneath Kion, and he falls into the river. Kion grabs onto the log, which is floating down the river.
Back with the others, Beshte and Bunga watch the oryxes walk by calmly.
Beshte: That's right. Easy there. You're all okay now.
Fuli approaches the oryxes, and they pull to a halt.
Bunga: Yeah! Kion's chased those hyenas [Bunga waves dismissively.] back into the Outlands!
Macie: but shouldn't he be back by now?
