"Let's go get some drinks!" My friend grabs my arm and drags me over to the bar. She forced me to come with her to the club tonight although I'm not feeling the greatest. She guaranteed me that this was just what I needed to feel better.

She always looks out for me and I really appreciate it, but sometimes it's overwhelming.

"Two apple martinis, please." She tells the bartender and he nods his head, beginning to make the drinks. "So, you feelin' better?"

"We just got here..." I tell her and she shrugs.

The bartender places the drinks in front of us, "These are from those two gentlemen over there." He nods his head in the direction to the right of us, both our eyes meeting the two guys who bought our drinks for us.

I raise my glass towards them, thanking them and turning back to my friend. We both laugh and drink our martinis.

"They're coming over here!" She says in my ear with a warning tone. My eyes widen as they walk over next to us.

I look over and see the one standing next to me.

"Hey, thanks for the drinks." He smiles.

"No problem. I'm Tom." He introduces himself and I do the same. We decide to go take a walk outside and around the city.

"Alright, now it's time for serious questions." He says.

"Hit me with the hardest question that you've got." I challenge as we turn a corner, the lights of the stores illuminating the sidewalk along with the noise of cars and blaring music from the clubs we pass.

"What is your favorite color?" He asks me.

"What?" I laugh, looking over at him.

"What's your favorite color?" He chuckles but asks again seriously.

"Purple." I tell him with a smile, "What's yours?"

"Red." He says.

"I have a question now." I tell him.

"What would you like to know?"

"If we can hang out again?" I look up at him and smile, he flashes me a smile too.

"Of course, but I have a better idea." He suggests.

"And what might that idea be?"

"Could I take you out on a date instead?" He asks and raises his eyebrows. My eyes widen in excitement.

"Yes!" I kiss him on the cheek, "I like that idea much better."

"Me too." He agrees and takes my hand into his as he pulls me closer.
