I sit on my bed in disbelief, my face covered in tears. I drop my phone onto the bed, giving up on holding in my emotions. The tears continue to flow down my cheeks as my mind tries to wrap itself around the information I just read online.
The article states that Ryan has been cheating on me with some girl that he met in Toronto just a few weeks ago. I know that it's true because the comments on the article said that many people have seen him with her at different shops in town.
A few hours and many tears later, I begin to make dinner as I wait for Ryan to get home.
He comes home, and I act as if there's nothing wrong. When it's time to go to sleep, I grab his pillow and a blanket from the closet and throw them on the couch.
"What are you doing?" Ryan asks me curiously, as if there's something wrong with me.
"Making your bed." I answer both sarcastically and angrily.
"Why?" He asks, making me roll my eyes followed by no response. I start to give him the silent treatment, ignoring his every word.
"What did I do?" He asks.
After a few moments of silence, I retreat back to our room. "Please tell me what I did, (Y/N)? You always do this to me." He whines, following me into the room.
"Do what? Try to give you what you deserve when you mistreat me? I'm sorry, but when I get cheated on, I stick up for myself and not let someone walk all over me."
"What are you even talking about? I never cheated on you!" He tells me, grabbing my hand and pulling me back to him.
"Then tell me why you were with some girl that you met in Toronto?" He pauses, thinking about it.
"What?" He says.
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about."
He continues to think about it.
"Oh," He starts to laugh. "That was my cousin!"
"What?" He continues to laugh and pulls me closer to him.
"That was my cousin." He explains. "The only reason that I didn't introduce you to her is because I didn't know if you were ready to meet my family yet, and I didn't want to rush you into anything." He confesses.
"Why didn't you just ask me? I would have loved to meet some of your family." I smile, relieved from the truth.
"I don't know." He says. "If you'd like to, I'll take you to meet them the next time I have some off days." He smiles and pecks me on the lips.
"Good." I turn around and lay down in bed.
"Does this mean I don't have to sleep on the couch now?" He asks as he begins to lay down next to me.
"No." I tell him. He looks at me surprised at my answer. I smile, knowing that he fell for it. "I'm just kidding." I laugh and he tackles me into a hug.
"You're not funny." He pecks me on the cheek and I look at him.
"Yes I am." I smile, and he kisses me.
