Beacon Friendship

Y/N POV

I stare out the window just waiting for us to reach our destination. After what feels like an hour or so we come to a stop. When the door opens I'm presented with the gorgeous Beacon Academy. I smile taking in all its glory.

Y/N: "I can't wait to see what all awaits for me here."

I inhale when I hear yelling.

Voice: "Is any of this sinking in!?!"

I turn seeing a girl sneeze. I tilt my head as the world slows down before fully stopping. I walk investigating the situation. Getting to the epicenter I see a girl in white waving a vial of dust around. Just in front of her is a girl that makes my cheeks heat up. 

Y/N: "She's beautiful."

I take in her stunning appearance. Her hair is black with red tips. Her eyes are a misty silver which perfectly compliment her pale skin. I smile feeling my heart flutter.

Y/N: "Wow."

I shake alert seeing a tiny spark. Looking closer I see it about to hit the dust.

Y/N: "That can't be good."

Weiss POV

I blink where nearly immediately I notice something off. Looking around I see the dust gone and my luggage neatly stacked on my cart. Looking back at the girl I see a handkerchief now in her hands. This only adds to my confusion, what is going on?

Boy: "Excuse me."

I look now finding a boy has arrived. What in the name of Oum is going on?

Y/N POV

I hold out a suitcase housing the girl's dust vials.

Y/N: "I do believe this' yours."

She grabs it cocking an eyebrow.

White: "Thank... you?"

Y/N: "You're welcome."

She walks away with a look of confusion on her face. I silently chuckle, that never gets old. I then receive a tap on my shoulder. I turn seeing the girl in red.

Red: "Thanks."

She holds out her hand. I smile shaking it.

Y/N: "No problem."

We let go being met with silence, which's only torture to me.

Y/N: "Well, see you around... uh..."

She giggles, cute.

Ruby: "Ruby. Ruby Rose."

Y/N: "Cute name."

She combs her hair behind her ear.

Ruby: "You got a name?"

Y/N: "Y/N. Y/N L/N."

She begins walking away.

Ruby: "See you around Y/N."

She finally leaves. I sigh in happiness.

Y/N: "I really hope so."

Speaker: "Welcoming speech has begun."

I groan.

Y/N: "Dangit, I'm late!"

I run in a completely random direction, hoping it's right. A couple minutes later it's proven correct as I see other students all huddled together.

Ozpin: "It's up to you to take the initiative."

He walks away as an older blonde woman takes his place.

Blonde: "You'll sleep in the ballroom for the night. Get plenty of rest for your initiation is tomorrow. Good luck."

That night I lay on my back staring at the ceiling. That is until I hear scribbling. Looking I see Ruby writing something. I smile taking a seat next to her.

Y/N: "Hi."

She shows a warm smile.

Ruby: "Hello."

Y/N: "Whatcha doing?"

Ruby: "Writing a letter to my parents. They made me promise to tell them how my time at Beacon is going."

Y/N: "That's cute."

Her smile deepens with some red hitting her cheeks.

Girl: "My sister's in love~"

Ruby swings a pillow hitting a blonde girl in the face. 

Ruby: "Shut up Yang."

Yang pulls the pillow down showing a devilish smile.

Yang: "You two should date."

Ruby: "He's just a friend."

I scream in joy internally. She sees me as a friend.

Yang: "Relax, I'm only giving you a hard time."

She holds out her hand.

Yang: "Name's Yang. Yang Xiao Long. Ruby's older sister."

I shake her hand.

Y/N: "Y/N L/N. Pleasure to meet you."

Yang: "Pleasure's all mine."

Speaker: "Lights out."

Y/N: "Guess that's our cue. See you guys tomorrow."

Yang/Ruby: "Bye Y/N."

I walk back to my station falling asleep for the day.
