When I got home, everything was a little weird for me. I couldn't understand why it felt weird but when I saw Raj's car in the driveway along with Sage's truck, I knew things were about to get a little worse.

The feeling I was having was unsettling in my stomach, making me wish that I didn't answer his call and stayed over at Izzy's instead of coming here.

Of course I never really do what I want to do. I always come back here when I don't want to be here anyway but I have nowhere else to go.

I knew that Miss Madison wouldn't mind me staying with them but the questions that would be asked was something I wasn't ready for.

Questions about my parents and everything about them.

I knew these lies weren't going to last forever.

It was just a matter of time.

As I parked the car, I left it running for a moment as I looked around. I saw the lights were off in the house but the vehicles were in the driveway, so I wasn't sure what was going on.

This bad feeling I've been having for years now was letting me know that I needed to leave and not go in the house.

As I was putting the car in park, I jumped and screamed when I heard a loud noise at my window. I saw Sage standing there before opening the door, grabbing my arm and trying to pull me out.

"Sage, stop!"

"I need to talk to you. Get out of the car. Why are you leaving?" I was pulled out and saw Sage reach in before turning the engine off.

He turns towards me before pushing me towards the house. I walked in then turned towards him as he locked the door behind him and looked back at me.

"Why were you at Izzy's?"

I gave him a confused look as he walks around me and I turned towards him. "Cause she's my friend?"

"You're there a lot."

"So?" I follow him to the kitchen where Raj was and he smiles at me. I ignore him as I focused back on my brother.

Sage looks at me as he grabs a drink from the fridge. I watch as he opens it and takes a sip before looking towards Raj then back at me.

The whole atmosphere was a little heavy and I didn't like the feeling. I always get gut feelings about things and sometimes I ignore it but this time I couldn't ignore it.

"I just would like for you to tell me where you are."

"I know and sometimes I forget." I glance over at Raj for a moment before looking back at Sage. "Sometimes I just don't care enough to tell you."

"Why is that?" He asks.

"Cause I'm not a kid. I'm old enough to take care of myself. I don't have to tell you where I'm at every second of the day."

Sage kept looking at me before looking over at Raj and that's when I look over at Raj at the same time and saw him nod towards Sage.

"Alright, Kaden." Sage sighs.

"Alright what?"

He didn't say anything as he takes a sip of his drink, making eye contact with me but not saying anything anymore.

That's when I left the kitchen and went upstairs.

I closed the door behind me and walked to the window before opening it and climbing out onto the roof, making sure to watch my step and walk to my spot before sitting down.

As I sat there, I pull my knees up and held onto them before looking up at the sky. I sighed as I leaned back and against the house, staring at the clouds above.

Missing my parents were something that came and went, but today was a little different.

I missed them everyday but it's getting a little more now since I was going through complete hell with Sage. I try to talk to them about him, asking questions and trying to get answers but coming up short.

Why did my life have to be this way?

My parents were murdered and for what reason?

Who did it?

Why?

I makes no sense to me.

I wanted so many answers but Sage won't answer them and nobody else knew about it. I was lost and confused, living in this hell hole with a brother who is treating me like shit.

My life was hell and it's always been like that even when my parenst were here. I couldn't understand what I did wrong to make my life like this and I question it everyday when I'm constantly reminded of this shit.

As I was looking around, I sighed before seeing a few cars go by. I always liked sitting up here when I was younger, watching the cars and people go by. It was like I was invisible to everyone and I was God watching everyone from below.

The way I feel most alive when I'm up on the roof or at my favorite spot.

As I was sitting up there, I heard noises coming from down below and saw Raj walking out of the house after a few moments. I also saw Sage walking out also and Raj stopped to turn towards him as Sage walked towards him.

"Do you think she knows?" Raj asks.

Sage looks around before pushing Raj back. "Shut up, dude. She might hear you." Raj looks around before walking with Sage to his truck.

I kept watching as they stopped at the back of his truck and Sage grabbed a bag from the back before tossing it to Raj, who didn't catch it and it landed on the ground.

"Be careful with that shit."

Raj grabs it and throws it over his shoulder before looking at Sage. "It's heavy as shit." I saw Sage slap his head. "When are you going to.. do that?" Raj asks.

Sage stops and looks around. "Not sure, but it's coming."

I furrowed my eyebrows as they walked back towards the house and I heard a door shut. I sat there a little confused as I was trying to figure out what the hell just happened and what they were talking about.

After a few minutes, I climbed back towards my windows and inside as Sage was walking in my room. I saw him look at me as he slowly shut the door behind him as I stood there.

"Sorry for.. treating you like a kid sometimes, Kaden."

"It's cool." I said, watching him very carefully. "You have your reasons."

He nods. "I do and.. you're right." I gave him a confused look. "It has something to do with our parents death. The person is still out there and I'm scared of losing you too."

As I watched him, I knew he was lying. I could tell by his body language and it was off, which scared me as I kept my distance from him.

"Just.. promise you won't sneak away or leave without letting me know."

I nodded. "Sure."

He smiles before leaving my room and shutting the door behind him.

I sighed as I sat on the bed, feeling my nerves get to me and my hands were shaking. I could feel something was off and I didn't like it.

Looking around my room, I had a very sick feeling in my stomach that I can't ignore anymore. I needed to figure out the truth but sometimes tells me the truth was going to be terrible.
