"anthony cmon you need to start sticking up for yourself. you cant just keep getting kicked around, it's not okay" i said to my best friend of 7 years, but he's also my crush

"y/n lay off, why do you care so much?" he says

"because i li- i care for you alright? don't need you to be next to me with a broken nose and a black eye."

"that was once and it's only because you pushed me off my bike" he says

"yeah yeah whatever helps you sleep at night!"

"alright alright. i'll see you tomorrow morning" he says walking to his sisters car

~time skip~

i walk into the water park with my sister moon and see anthony and kenny arguing.

"careful where you're walking larusso. looks like you're crossing your side of the park" kenny says. anthony spots me and just walks away

"dude cmon bro. you were right next to the water! just push him in at this point" i say

"it's whatever. i was a dick to him in the first place, i guess i deserve the treatment" he says

"oh right. plus why were you so fucked up towards him? you didn't even know him" i ask. he looks kind of, stuck?

"oh well um. the first time i saw him was when you and him were coming out of chemistry. something made me so upset that he was so close to you, i don't understand why it made me upset. well i mean i do now but then and there i didnt."

"why were you so upset? i told you we were just friends" i ask

"it's nothing really"

"anthony tell me"

"no y/n/n. stop i'm not telling you"

"bro don't be this way please tell me"

"BECAUSE I LIKE YOU OKAY?" he yells making everyone look at us

"i don't think new jersey heard you maybe a bit louder?"

"shut up" he says and i start laughing "y/n why are you laughing?"

"i like you too idiot"

"what really because if not i totally understa-
i cut him off with a kiss. he melted into it right away. it was soft and sweet

"well?" i ask pulling away. he looks confused

"RIGHT! will you be my girlfriend?"

"of course you dork." i say giving him another kiss

"FREAKING FINALLY!" sam yells and we laugh
