Ice Cold ~ Tom "Iceman" Kazansky [discontinued]

Five

It was Monday, we were sitting in class while Jester was explaining what we'd have to do today. Apparently we had to be able to have our missile lock on him before he had us. Which I translated to tag in the air. The class had just only began but Johns was already super excited to tell me what happened with Wolfie.

"You have to understand me Mitch, when I tell you this man does wonders in the bedroom. I'm not exaggerating." Leah whispered to me, since we were sitting towards the back of the class. I couldn't help but chuckle before shoving her slightly. "Damn. Seems like you had a busy night." She giggled slightly before sending a flirty wink towards Wolfie.

 (I know it's Wolfman but since Johns keeps calling Tom "frosty", I will call Leo(nard)  "Wolfie".)

They had been exchanging glances for the past 10 minutes. But I couldn't complain since I had been looking at Tom's every move. My attention had been focused on the way he was twirling his pen between his fingers, or the way his eyes focused on Jester like his next target was whatever came out of his mouth. My attention was captured on the way he would play with his ring once his pen started boring him. It seemed like I wasn't the only one with their attention stuck on someone , his eyes seemed to bore into mine whenever he had the chance too. For once Tom and Ron had both decided to sit at the back. Thank the Lord they did. 

Tom and I were staring at eachother again, my teeth was slightly biting into my lip and it seemed to drive him crazy as he kept looking back at them. He wetted his own lips at the same time. And oh God was it hot.

"Will you two stop eye fucking eachother and return your attention to class!" Jester's booming voice was heard in the class. His eyes were sending daggers right at the both of us. If looks could kill, we'd both be dead. That's also when I realised the blonde woman from the bar was waiting on her cue to enter.

"Uhm excuse me sir, but I wasn't eye fucking him. Since you know, eyes don't really have the capacity to do that. What I was doing is called staring. And honestly I don't think you can blame me." Tom laughed, hiding it behind a cough. He send me a wink. Instantly that brought a huge smile on my face. Not to forget my cheeks were heating up too. How could it not? I made him laugh. 

Maverick and Jester didn't seem as happy though. Both of them looked like they were fuming. "Jester, instead of taking it badly. Why don't you introduce the woman that's been standing in the back for about 5 minutes now. I'm tired of being the only female here." He sighed in defeat when he saw the smirk that played at my lips. Jester decided to continue the lesson.

"Now you'll also be trained and evaluated by a few civilian specialists. The civilians are here because they are our very best source of information on enemy aircraft. One of the most qualified is our TAGREP, callsign "Charlie". She has a PhD. in astrophysics and she's also a civilian contractor, so you don't have to salute her. But you better listen to her because the Pentagon listens to her about your proficiency. It's all yours Charlie."

The blonde woman from Friday, which I now knew as Charlie, walked to the front of the class. From the side I could see Maverick's embarrassed expression. Serves him right. 

"Finally a woman! Thank you for being here!" The others laughed at my sudden intrusion, Charlie seemed to smile brightly at that. 

She continued to explain, till Maverick's and Goose's talking interrupted the lesson.

"Excuse me, lieutenant, is there a problem?" Charlie stared sternly at them.

"Yes, ma'am, the data on the MiG is innacurate.

Charlie now looked suprised, but I already knew what he was going to say. Typical, he truly always needs to put the attention on him. I rolled my eyes at my brother, being done with his bullshit.

"Well, I just happened to see a MiG-28 do-" Nick interrupted him, reminding Mav that he was there too.

"Sorry Goose. WE happened to see a MiG-28 do a 4G negative dive." I knew he was right, since I had been there too but Charlie seemed absolutely confused.

"Where did you see this?" She questioned. "That's classified" "It's what?" "It's classified. I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you." Twister and I shared a look, he was being an idiot. AGAIN.

"Lieutenant, I have top secret clearance. The Pentagon sees to it that I know more than you." "Well ma'am, it doesn't seem so in this case now does it?

I was starting to feel exasperated by the way he was playing with her. It was already difficult enough for a woman to be "teaching" in Top Gun, and he was making it worse. Seems like Tom and Ron were getting annoyed with him too, which was completely understandable.

"So lieutenant, where exactly were you?"

"Well, WE--" "Thank You" Goose flashed a bright smile, and I couldn't help but smile back. Nick is adorable. "Started up on his six, when he pulled through the clouds, and then I moved in above him."

Charlie seemed really confused with his answer. Which once again, was completely understandable.

"Well if you were directly above him, how could you see him?"

"Because I was inverted." Pete said while doing an inverting motion with his hands. "Bullshit." Tom mumbled before coughing, "masking it". I couldn't help but laugh, even though I knew Pete really did invert a MiG-28.

Goose stood up for Pete, putting me in the conversation too. "No, he was, man. It was a really great move. Ask Player and Twister." Tom looked over at us, slightly tilting his head in a questioning motion. I simply nodded, while Leah answered with a quick "Unfortunately, it's true." Tom turned back to look at Charlie. 

Goose and Maverick continued to talk about their incredible move, not forgetting to mention the bird. Which I had taken as a challenge to one day do too, make it a family tradition.  

"Alright, gentleman and ladies, we have a hop to take. The hard-deck on this hop will be 10,000 feet. There will be no engagement below that. Move it!" 

It officially begins...
