It was before the alarm went off the next day, and it was the boys' football game that night and homecoming.
"Sinenhlanhla!" A voice whispered
"Sinenhlanhla!"
"Mlothswa!"
"MaDlaba!"
Sinenhlanhla woke up, sweating and panting as she looked around and after calming down she went to shower before the girls woke up. That day the teachers allowed them to go get their dresses which were already made, so a majority of the day the girls were gone and then it was 17:00 already when they went to the prom.
"You seem tired tonight," Justin said
"Oh yeah it's nothing, I think it's just because we were running," Sinenhlanhla said
"Come here," Justin said
He let her head rest on his chest as they danced and she wanted to cry when she saw Aaron and Kassandra but she didn't, at least not in front of them.
"Is your arm still hurting?" Justin asked
"Yeah but not as much," Sinenhlanhla said
"Do not ever scare us like that again and I'm sorry I left, I had to talk to Raul," Justin said
"It's okay, Dominic took care of it," Sinenhlanhla said
"Yeah but I don't like it when that happens because you're my girlfriend," Justin said
"As I've said before, your friends and best friends are assholes," Sinenhlanhla said
"Will you stop?" Justin laughed
"Looks like Raul and Aaron want to cut in." Sinenhlanhla smiled
"Okay well, I'll give them a chance too, Raul can go first." Justin smiled
He left while Raul danced with Sinenhlanhla.
"Well, you look amazing tonight." Raul smiled
"Why thank you and I hope you guys win, with Justin and Aaron as your team captains," Sinenhlanhla said
"We might, but you must cheer us on," Raul said
"You know, I called you guys assholes yesterday." Sinenhlanhla laughed
"Well you weren't wrong, most of us are and I won't let Aaron touch you because I know what happened," Raul said looking down at her
"I'm guessing your girlfriend told you," Sinenhlanhla said
"Yeah you can say that, but I will leave you to go get a drink since Justin is waiting for you." Raul smiled
She giggled then looked around and smiled at Justin who was talking with Brayden.
"Bro I am honestly shocked that you are dating Sinenhlanhla." Brayden laughed
"What are you laughing at?" Justin asked
"She's a fucking mess, I think you are making a big mistake because she is not right, she cuts herself and it's like a coping mechanism." Brayden laughed
"Bro I love her, I've known her for a few weeks but I can handle her and support her unlike you, I don't even look at her scars disgustingly," Justin said
"If you say so," Brayden said
Aaron and Dominic came to stand with them, as Sinenhlanhla was walking their way and she was smiling, then she hugged Justin and he kissed her on her lips getting lipstick on his lips.
"Hold on, you have a bit of lipstick on your lips." Sinenhlanhla smiled
"No do not wipe it off, it shows you marked your territory and you own me." Justin smiled
