"I didn't lose a friend, I just realized I never had one."  - Unknown

You may be hurting,

But I'm too tired to care,

You made me that way,

And now you're in despair.

I wish this wasn't true,

I wish we could work it out,

But you've got to leave me alone,

Or everyone will hear me shout.

Please stop pushing me,

Pushing me below the ground,

Do you know I can't feel anything,

Do you know I can't be found?

I can recover eventually,

Even if it will take a long time,

But with the right decisions,

You'll find me in my prime.

And you may think there's no way out,

But whatever way you turn,

There's always gonna be some fire,

And you can't escape the burn.

But within the fire there's light,

Bright yellow and deep red,

These times will make you happy,

A place where no tears are shed.

But if you tell me your story,

Do you know I won't leave?

So make your choice now,

Else you'll be lost by grief.

You can say anything you want,

Perhaps one day you'll understand,

I don't hate you for what you are,

But you shouldn't be secondhand.

If you became true to yourself,

You might start to love life,

But until the day you do,

You'd better keep that knife.

I realise your life isn't all about me,

And one day your lies may become true,

But when will you understand,

That honey, it's not all about you.
