Three-Headed Sentinel
[The three are walking up a staircase in the Grand Staircase tower. A railing pulls in, Hermione looks, but continues walking.]
Ron: I'm telling you, it's spooky. She knows more about you than you do.
Holly: Who doesn't?
[The staircase shudders and begins to move. The three grab the railings.]
Ron: Ahh!
[Hermione gasps]
Holly: What's happening?
Hermione: The staircases change, remember? [The staircase stops, leading to a corridor.]
Holly: [taps Ron] Let's go this way.
Ron: Before the staircase moves again.
[They all open a door and walk into a spooky, dark and deserted corridor.]
"Why is that corridor so creepy looking?" A Hufflepuff third year asked.
"I don't know mate, but let me tell you, I don't got a good feeling about it." Another Hufflepuff said.
Holly looked towards her friends and sighed as they remembered this day. It seemed as if it were life times ago to them.
In reality it was only about a little over a decade to them.
Time sure flies when you're trying to save the wizarding world from certain destruction.
Harry: Does anyone feel like...we shouldn't be here?
Hermione: We're not supposed to be here. This is the 3rd floor. It's forbidden.
[Suddenly, a flame lights on a tall stone support. At that moment, Filch's cat, Mrs. Norris, comes running in and meows. The group jumps.]
Holly: Let's go.
[Mrs. Norris meows]
Ron: It's Filch's cat!
Holly: Run![kicks the damn cat away from them. A distant meow is heard as the cat flies down the hall as Holly put touch strength behind her kick. Hermione and Ron give a sheepish Holly a deadpanned look. As if to say 'really?']
"Oh Merlin, I've always wanted to do that!" James said as he smiled proudly at his daughter.
Laughs could be heard around the hall because literally no one liked Mrs. Norris or Filch for that matter.
"Us to!!!" The rest of the Marauders and the Prewitt twins said with pouts on their faces as they realized Holly was the first to do it.
They needed to catch up with the little prankster before she becomes the best prankster in the wizarding world.
[The trio run through the corridor, flames are lit up on the stone supports, one by one, as they run past. They get to the end of the corridor, to a door.]
Holly: Quick! Let’s hide though that door!
[Holly grabs the handle, but it's locked.]
"Oh no, it's locked." Some people cry out dramatically. Barry Jr. clutches Evan's shirt for dear life while Reggie and Rebastian shake their heads at the utter stupidity that surrounded them on a daily basis.
Sirius looked over and smiled a bit seeing his little brother act like his age for once, goofing off with his friends.
He was starting to thank all the higher beings in the universe for this chance to watch the future as it seemed to be slowly bringing his family closer together.
Ron: That's it, we're done for!
Hermione: Oh, move over! [pushes through and pulls out her wand, aiming it at the lock] Alohomora. [The door's lock lifts up magically and it opens.] Get in. [They bustle in.]
Ron: Alohomora?
Holly: Standard book of spells, Chapter 7.
[Filch arrives at the start of the corridor with a light. Mrs. Norris looks at him.]
"The cat recovered to quickly it's like the damned thing is immortal or something!" Sirius shouted at the screen.
Laughter rang through the great hall as everyone looked at a disgruntled Sirius Black pouting at the screen.
filch: anyone here, my sweet? [mrs. norris meows] come on. [they leave the corridor.]
"I swear he's to close to that cat, it's like he's in love with it or something." Frank Longbottom said to the Marauders and the female Marauders (Lily's group of friends) who all nodded in agreement with a look of disgust on their faces.
hermione: filch is gone.
ron: probably thinks this door's locked.
hermione: it was locked.
holly: and for good reason. [ron and hermione turn to stand with holly. there is a massively huge three headed dog sleeping in front of them. the dog begins to wake. it growls, yawns, and growls more...noticing the intruders.]
all: ahhhhhhh! [the three bolt, running out of the door. they turn quickly to shut the door and battle against the dog. they get the door shut and run.]
[they return to the gryffindor common room. they are breathless.]
Shocked gasps and screams went around the halls as everyone saw the beast. Hagrid grinned at the adorable little guy as he looked at the screen fascinated.
ron: what do they think they're doing?? keeping a thing like that locked up in a school.
"That's what I'd like to know!" Many mother's said around the hall and the older students who were still trying to calm the younger students nodded in agreement.
hermione: you don't use your eyes, do you? didn't you see what it was standing on?
"What?" People said confused while others nodded at what Hermione was saying.
ron: i wasn't looking at its feet! i was a bit preoccupied with its heads. or maybe you didn't notice, there were three! [they begin to climb the stairs to the dorms.]
hermione: it was standing on a trap door. which means it wasn't there by accident. it's guarding something.
Holly: I saw it to. What in the Merlin's name could a cerebrus be hiding though. It has to be a powerful magical item of some sort.
"Very well deducted Miss. Potter. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" Alastor Mad-Eye Moody screamed scaring the hell out of so many people not used to the man and his antics.
The future generation sent sad looks to the man, missing how he used to always yell that at him, determined to make sure he doesn't die this time around.
hermione: that's right. now, if you two don't mind, i'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed... or worse, expelled! [turns and leaves, shutting the door to her dormitory.]
ron: she needs to sort out her priorities!
[Holly nods in agreement]
Holly: While I can agree that school is important and we shouldn't try to get expelled, I don't see the problem with our little adventures as long as we don't get caught.
[Holly said with a mischievous smirk as her green with grey flecked eyes sparkled with amusement.]
"That's our daughter!" James and Sirius cheered at the same time.
"She's a perfect mix between James and Sirius' mischief and Lily's smarts that she's a force to be reckoned with." Marlene said with wide eyes.
Alice, Dorcas, Mary, and Remus looked at each other with wide eyes afraid for the future generation and of course their favorite professor McGonagall's/Minnie's sanity.
