(Dan's Turn)
(3rd Person POV)
Dan slowly opens the door to a worn-down shed. If it weren't for the tracker, it would perfectly blend in with everything else in Inkpolis, considering the city's current state.
Unimpressed by the basic setting of the shed, Dan casually scans the area with his flashlight, finding nothing but tools, papers,
and...
Dan: *to himself* Now why the hell would the tracker show-
Dan's heart drops as his flashlight stops on one... jarring detail...
He looks up to see a headless corpse hanging from the ceiling by four steel wires. He holds the tracker up to the body, to which it begins to beep rapidly.
Dan: *breathless* Pearl...
Past her, he notices a paper tacked into the wall. He walks up to it for a closer look...
The paper shows every agent, from 1 to even 15, with their headshots taken when they joined the agency.
There are "X"'s over certain headshots, being Agent 2, Agent 3, Agent 5, Agent 7, and...
Agent 12...
Dan: *to himself* Sam...
He starts to feel more uneasy, after noticing red, messy circles around two agents...
Agent 9, Meggy...
and Agent 14...
Dan: ...Me?-
Dan suddenly feels something bash against the back of his skull.
He begins to fall forward, as his vision becomes blurry.
Something like this should cause him to completely black out, or worse... it should kill him...
But Meggy had told him about something that happened to her, how she was knocked out and interrogated by Octavio.
There is a way to avoid it, almost as a way to cheat death. It was something she taught him during his extra training...
"Survive, survive... survive or I'll rip your fucking head off!"
Only somewhat able to see, Dan, mustering up all his strength, rises from the ground and makes a run for it. Wherever he goes, he can't be followed, or whoever is after him will be caught.
He suddenly feels a hand grab him and turn him around. The mysterious figure begins to repeatedly headbutt Dan. Dan can feel his forehead pounding as blood rushes down his face.
"Survive, survive..."
Dan finally succeeds in kicking himself away and reaching the outside world. Before escaping the shed, he looks back one more time. He can see a blurry figure staring back at him.
