(Meggy's POV)
Dan stares at me with a blank expression.
Dan: Wh-what do you mean we "get our agency back"?
Meggy: The hell do you think I mean?
Dan: *scratching his head* I just kinda thought we were gonna start a new thing- I mean, how would we even get the agency back?!
Meggy: *shrugs* We kill Desti.
Dan remains still, but can't help but blink a couple times.
Dan: We... kill Desti.
I go to speak, but he cuts me off.
Dan: Us... versus Desti?
Meggy: *crossing her arms* You really think we'll lose?
Dan: I know we'll die!
Meggy: *looking to the side* Ok well-
Dan: She will rip our fucking brains out!-
Meggy: Listen! Dan, you fought Octavio! You fought Tooth, the most feared assassin in Inkpolis!
Dan: *mumbles* He wasn't that ba-
Meggy: What makes Desti any worse? Hell, I fought her countless times!
Dan: Yeah, but she's just... different.
Ok, he does have a point. There's something different about Desti, but I can't really put my finger on it.
Meggy: *sigh* Listen, it's not that I'm not cautious of her... it's that we don't have a choice.
Dan: *looking down* Y-yeah... good point.
Meggy: And hey, didn't you vow to protect Inkpolis, as well as the agents?
Dan: I-I-
Meggy: Think about Pov, your girlfriend! You can't let anything happen to her!
Dan: *sigh* I know... *stretching* So, when are we gonna do this?
Meggy: 11 o'clock tonight. All the agents should be gone by then... even Nat. Desti will be the only-
Dan: *raising an eyebrow* Hold on, "Even Nat"?
Realizing Dan doesn't know, I take a deep breath and prepare to tell him... what happened last night.
(The Training Ground)
(3rd Person POV)
Desti walks around the remaining agents, now all lined up in the center of the training ground.
Desti: Ok, let's get one thing straight. With Dan gone, you are to ONLY report to me!
Nat grows concerned about this, which doesn't go unnoticed by Desti.
Desti: There is no "second in command" in my agency. You all serve the same purpose, and so you will all act as the soldiers you signed up to become.
