(The Training Ground)
(Meggy's POV)
It's bright and early in the morning. I'm getting everything set up for the day, when I notice something... off.
Shouldn't Desti be here by now?
Eh, whatever. If she ends up coming late, at least I can have the agents to myself so we can actually have good training for once.
Eventually, 15 enters, and Mark follows.
Mark: *yawns* Mornin'!
15: *stretching* Hey, what's all this?
The two look around to see what I've been doing. There are cones, targets, and ink-filled buckets all spread out across the floor.
Meggy: Well, I heard you guys are learning how to fight with ink, *proud* thought I'd put my own little twist on it.
Mark: Yeah, but... *scratching his head* What exactly is this?
Trying to explain, I look around and eventually notice that it IS a mess.
While I'm thinking of an explanation though, my thoughts get interrupted by the sound of someone entering from the vent.
Meggy: *turning around* Hey, morning Da-
Wait... what?
In front of me isn't Dan or Pov, but...
Nat...
Meggy: *frozen* U-uh... can I help you?
Nat: Um... hey.
Mark: *crossing his arms* What do you want Nat?
Nat: ...Dan said I should try coming back to the agency.
I notice Nat's focus shift over to 15, as he grows a visibly disgusted look, which also seems to not go unnoticed by Mark.
Mark: *direct* So you only came back because Dan told you to?
I see Mark glare at Nat with nothing but pure anger in his eyes. Nat, however, seems to stay composed and stares back at Mark. He doesn't seem to share that same hate though.
Meggy: *sigh* Well, welcome back Nat.
Nat: *walking over* Thanks.
The three of us watch as Nat hesitantly walks over to us.
Nat: So, *looking around* what's this?
Meggy: *scratching her head* Just... obstacle... target training... I guess.
Nat: *pauses* Uhh... okay?
Jesus I can't get through to this fucking kid. This is not Nat, this is just some unrecognizable amalgamation of him.
Nat: *blinking* And... what's the goal?
Meggy: Jump from tank to tank and shoot the targets.
