ski trip (part 1)

a//n obviously as it's almost christmas i had to write a cheesy christmas mini fic 🫶 warning this will be so fucking cheesy i've watched way too many christmas romcoms recently

After. pretty intense break up with his ex boyfriend Ben, Charlie definitely needed this vacation more than anything that year.

Charlie actually really enjoyed the ski vacation that his family took every year. The skiing, the snow, sitting by the cozy fire place.

They arrived at the resort in the morning and it was a really nice place too. Charlie shared a room with Tori and Ollie while his parents shared a room.

"Charlie, could you go down to the lobby and ask for the room service menu i can't find it" his mum asked "sure" he said sweetly and went downstairs and headed to the front desk just as a cute boy was about to leave "hi" he said sweetly "hey" Charlie said back

Charlie got what he needed before he headed back up to his room "you saw a cute boy" Tori said as he came back into the room "what? what makes you say that?" he asked flopping onto his bed "whenever you see a cute boy, you get this look on your face" Tori teased

"oh haha" Charlie playfully rolled his eyes "okay i did see a cute boy be he only said hey to me" Charlie shrugged "besides i'm here to not think about boys, remember" Tori nodded "true, why did you and Ben break up anyway?" she asked curiously

Charlie froze for a second "i don't really wanna talk about it" he said as got up he set down his suitcase on his bed and took out some warmer clothes to go skiing "i'll be back soon, i swore this year i was gonna do the double black diamond and hopefully not complete back out" Charlie said confidently

"or are you gonna see the cute boy again?" Ollie teased, Charlies face went red "no! now out i need to change!" he said practically shoving his siblings out of the room and into his parents room that was connected before closing the door and getting changed.

He soon headed down to the ski lifts and once again saw the same cute boy from earlier, standing in line for the ski lift with his snow board, and of course just Charlie's luck they ended up on the same lift together.

The ride was quite, not a awkward quiet but a peaceful one as Charlie looked out admiring the beautiful mountains.. until the ride came to a halt "well that's great" the other boy chuckled

Charlie plucked up all his courage "yea, at least the view is pretty" he said contently "mhm, i'm nick by the way" he smiled "i'm Charlie" he smiled back, showing off his dimples slightly making Nicks heart melt "nice to meet you" he said sweetly.

As they were stuck the two got to know each other a little bit "wait, we live in the same town how come i've never seen you before?" Charlie asked curiously "well i go to Snt Johns sports academy, for rugby"

Charlie smiled and nodded "ahh, i go to Truham Grammar School for boys, and of course you play rugby" Charlie teased "How can you tell?" Nick laughed "i dunno you just seem like a rugby lad" Charlie laughed a little "and you seem like a nerd" Nick teased "oh i am, and i take pride in it thank you very much!"

The two laughed as the ride jolted to the start and Charlie nearly fell on-top of Nick "sorry" he said sitting back up "it's okay" Nick said trying to hide his blush, which was difficult since he blushed so easily, hopefully Charlie would just think it's from the cold.

They reached the top "see you at the bottom?" Nick smiled "yea" Charlie said sweetly and they went their separate ways.

Charlie took a deep breath looking down at the trail "you can do this Charlie" he mumbled to himself, putting down his goggles and went down the mountain.
