Doney met the gang after his first mission when he get back to Vicktor's clinic,Vicktor introduced them to Doney and since then they have been the best of friends, they had been through alot of missions, contracts...etc

Doney: Well i'll go get some Zs now feeling out of energy today
V: Yeah i'll go hit the dent to see you around choombas
