A/N: this is sad. You have been warned

The moon was high and full, not a cloud would dare come near her. It was as if the moon as beckoning the souls to her. Telling them not to be afraid to leave.

...

Cluching his body she let out a cry of anguish and defeat. He lay there soaked in his own blood. A pool was forming under him and soaking into her trousers.

Selfishly, for a second she regretted healing thoughs wounded. Her magic was precious and limited. If she hadn't, she would have had enough left to bring him back. The though vanished as quickly as it came. That wasn't like her. It was the grief.

She looked back down at him pulling closer, which let a sob escape her mouth. She sunk her head down to touch his. Tears dribbling from her closed eyes down her face onto his cheeks. Slowly opening her eye she wiped them off his pale skin.

If she was quicker it could have been her not him. Though it would have been selfish for her to put him though this grief. He could never deserve it.

She hugged him closer to her. Not caring his blood soak though her clothes. Staining them a deep black .She didn't mined. She didn't feel it. She just need him close to he again.

She waited for him to start laughing, and tell her she was stupid for crying. That he was fine, and only needed a few stitches. But that never happened.

No matter how long she waited.

He was gone.

Lost in an ocean of souls as they floated high above the ground. Flying to peace, high above the clouds.

As the sun rose over the mountains, only then did the soldier try to persuade her to leave him. He didn't even manage to get a word out. When he got to her the sight was crushing.

She was still there talking to him as though he was justasleep. As though he wasn't in the clouds. She was wipe his brown hair way from his face as she spoke. She was talking to him about all the adventures they had, had. About the future they had planned.

Seeing this would break the heart of any one. He was so pale, and the blood was drying. He was gone but she wouldn't believe it.

The ceremony was ment to be after the battle. The council said they would win, and they did. Though none of the soothsayers predicted him to die.

It was ment to be held, at the castle on top of the ludic mountains. The view at sun rise is truly stunning. Instead she was in the battle field clinging to her lover passed.

The sun was breaking over the mountains opposite. In the distance the clouds were a peachy colour. Reflecting the light of the sun as it rose.

She was still there.

Waiting.

"Oh if only you could see the sun-
It looks so beautiful"

She whispered, as she struggled to lean his body against her front so they could both watch the sun rise together.

He was watching just not next to her.
