The Third Side of a Love Story

Chapter 5

"You know her?"

Parang may takot pa sa loob ko nang tanungin ko si Justin.

"She's..." Justin uttered.

"She's Selena. I introduced her to the guys that's why Justin knew her." Sumagot ang hindi ko tinatanong na si Gio.

Natahimik naman si Justin at tila wala nang balak magsalita.

"Selena...Nice to meet you Venisa." The girl finally introduced herself. I looked at her at mukha namang mabait siya. She has this kind of aura that can lighten up someone's mood.

"Hello. " We shake hands and smiled to each other.

Hindi ko alam kung saan ako hindi napapanatag. The fact that Gio is currently dating someone else after kissing Gia last night? The tension I felt between these three people? Or is it because Justin knew this girl and I felt like there is something about the way he stare at her?

Naguguluhan ako ngunit inalis ko na lamang muna mga iyon sa isip ko.

Selena kindly introduces herself to me and I shouldn't be rude towards her. Whatever this things in my head, I should step that aside from now and deal with it later.

"Pauwi na kayo?" Gio asked. Lumipat lipat ang tingin niya sa amin ni Justin.

"Yeah, we just had dinner and stop by here to get some coffee. Kayo ba?" I told him. Ako na ang sumagot dahil natahimik na si Justin. Mukhang wala na siya sa mood sa hindi ko malamang dahilan.

"Hinatid ko lang si Selena dito sa coffee shop." Gio said. Mahigpit ang hawak niya sa bewang ni Selena. They really look like their dating. Hindi ko pa rin ito mapaniwalaan.

"You're here to study? Bakit hindi ka samahan ni Gio?" I asked curiously.

Sa totoo lang gusto ko lang talagang malaman kung may iba pa silang balak puntahan ni Gio.

"No. Nagtatrabaho ako dito, part time." She said, and that shocked me.

"You work here? Since when?" I go here often and I don't see her.

"Oo, I worked here during my free time, after class usually. Kakasimula ko lang last month. Duty ako kapag gabi hanggang umaga kaya marahil hindi mo ako napapansin."

"Owner nito ang tita niya." Gio tries to lift her up para siguro hindi siya mapahiya.

Gio has a pride that I cannot compare with anyone. He tries to maintain an image to impress everybody. At kung totoo ngang, Gia ignore his feelings. I don't want to think that he's just using Selena to get even.

I don't want to judge Selena but I don't think Gia will ever be get jealous of her. Kung totoo man na ginagawa lang ito ni Gio for clout. Gia is pretty and smart. She's rich. I don't think she will get jealous of someone who needs to works part time.

Mabuti na lamang siguro at ako ang nakakita dito kay Gio. Kung hindi baka harap harapan itong binulyawan ni Joan at Brianna. Wala pa namang preno ang bibig ng dalawang babae na iyon. Baka ipahiya lang nila si Selena sa harap nitong si Gio dahil sa ginawa niya kay Gia.

"We have to go." Biglang nagsalita si Justin.

I was surprised when he holds my hand. He rarely do this. Parang ako naman ngayon ang nakaramdam ng hiya. Gio looked shocked too because of what Justin did.

"That fast? Why don't we hang out first? Paalis na rin naman ako. You're good here right, Selena?"

"Ah, oo. Okay na ako dito. Thanks Gio."

Gio kissed her on the cheeks. Nakatingin lamang ako sa ginawa ni Gio kaya hindi ko na nakita ang reaksyon ni Justin.  Selena looked stunned to what happen but came back to her senses quickly.
