Third Person POV:

Y/N was not quite a talker. Most of their life they drew colorful creations, masterpieces of landscapes and amazing portraits of whoever caught their interest. Y/N really only had about three friends; Amy, Sonic, and B/N. Of course, they had acquaintances, but Y/N never really spoke to them unless it was needed. B/N was their first friend, ever since they met in grade school. However, one day, Y/N got a note from SEGA Corp. Odd. They rarely did much other than make artworks advertising the games, and maybe a few other art pieces like character concepts here and there. Y/N, Sonic, and B/N went to the SEGA Corp office. Y/N saw someone... Unfamiliar. An orange two tailed fox, seeming to have been staring into the void, a smile on his face that screamed the word 'insanity' to Y/N. Y/N glanced around the room, tapping their foot nervously as their palms sweated in profuse amounts. Mr. SEGA looked at the two hedgehogs and the F/C otter, a smile that masked capitalist intentions.

"Sonic, this is Tails. Your partner, and your new best friend!" Mr. SEGA spoke in a calm yet energizing tone. Sonic seemed annoyed by this. Y/N knew Sonic fairly well, he was often a lone wolf, a one man band. They knew that Sonic was pissed off. "I keep telling you, I don't need a damn partner, he's just gonna slow me down!" Sonic argued, rage twanged within his voice. Tails' voice spoke suddenly, catching Y/N off guard. "Sonic and Tails... Best friends!" the orange fox droned, his raspy voice scathed, as it sent shivers down Y/N's spine, their E/C eyes dimmed in mild fear. Sonic did not look all that impressed with the impression the fox was leaving him. "Really?" Sonic asked in a snarky yet sarcastic tone. Mr. SEGA wrapped an arm around Sonic's shoulders assuringly. "Sonic, relax! It'll still be the same. You just do your Sonic thing and it won't be like he's even there." Mr. SEGA chimed in a sleazy tone that most big-boss capitalists do. Y/N was silently shuffling away, hoping that nobody noticed.

"Y/N! Come meet the new guy! He's really nice!" Mr. SEGA spoke out. Y/N let out a soft squeak from how unexpected they were called. Y/N hesitantly took a few steps closer, their legs locked and arms shook, their E/C eyes avoiding direct eye contact with the fox. The fox looked at Y/N, interested, intrigue filling his cyan blye eyes. Maybe he fell in love? Y/N did not know for sure as they wanted to get out of there as soon as they could. "Tails, this is Y/N. They're an artist, and you'll be their roommate." Mr. SEGA introduced Tails to Y/N. Tails looked at Y/N, their H/L, H/C hair, their soft F/C fur, and their beautiful E/C eyes. It all put Tails into a trance, as he stared blankly at Y/N, smiling widely. Y/N smiled back, or they at least forced a smile that seemed very awkward. Tails held one of Y/N's hands. "Hi, Y/N! I can already tell that I like you a lot.~" Tails hummed in a warm voice, yet there was a lying sinister undertone underneath that 'happy-happy joy-joy' act that the fox was pulling upon Y/N.
